This works like it should!

Shipping was 2 days, left on the steps, easy to replace broken one (after figuring out what I needed to take appart) works well! It's a 2003 safari work van so not the first and probably not the last time changing the door handle.

Perfect fit as described. Easy to install on your own. Great value. It functions very well and looks great.

This replacement door handle for my 94 Astro van is doing its job. However, I bought this specific one because of the plastic clasp it has for the metal rods. It wraps around the metal rod and holds it in place. My plastic clasp arrived broken, one of the 2 tabs that hold this clasp in place was broken off. Luckily I has the one from my previous door handle.Anyone that has an Astro van knows the driver side outside door handle is a bad design and can last from 6 months to 18 months before breaking or the pot metal bending out of shape and becoming unusable. I bought the $90 (OEM) one early on, and I didn't get a year out of it so I continue to buy the $20 ones. They are easy enough to install most times but you don't know if it will get you through the year.

This door handle looks identical to the original door handle on my 1999 Chevy Astro. Everything fits perfectly and the two screws that hold the handle to the door line up nicely with the original holes in the door. Beware that the clear plastic that hooks onto a metal rod on the inside of the door can come off rather easily, so be sure not to lose it!Advice: The inside of the Astro’s door has extremely limited clearance to do work without having to drill holes. I personally made about a 1-inch hole next to the door lock to be able to use needle nose pliers and a wrench, otherwise it would’ve been nearly impossible for me to install the door handle

Unfortunately after taking out the old one and spending about 12 hours installing and uninstalling the new part only to find out that my problem was that the part wasn't quite right. It was causing the door not to open. Not sure if it was because of a little different in shape or piece was too long or wouldn't allow door handle to open enough to push rod down enough to open door. I will be asking for a refund.
