Into the Land of the Unicorns Paperback – January 1, 2008

I love this story, definitely worth rereading. I bought this copy as a gift for my niece. It arrived quickly and in new condition.

This is one of my favorite books as a kid, and I have recently had the chance to re-live, and re-love it, having my own child read it. It’s still a magical and fun adventure in unicorn land, and a wonderful book for a unicorn loving kid that wants some thing more mature than a picture book.

Super great quality, excellent condition! This book is super nostalgic and very sentimental to me. The description did not mention that it would be autographed, that was a meaningful surprise to me!

I first read this at the age of ten or eleven, and now I'm in my 30s, but it's like revisiting a childhood home where everything is just as you left it.Ideal for kids who like an adventure, but soft enough that it's more exciting than it is scary, with a few notable exceptions where Cara is in actual serious danger. Characters are quirky and memorable without being cliche, and the world of Luster is imaginative, beautiful, and seems to unfold around you as you read. Though the story moves along easily, quickly, the stakes are high enough to keep young readers engaged. Book 1 ends with a cliffhanger, so be prepared and have book 2 at the ready!

This book changed my life. I read this book in 6th grade and I haven't stopped reading for pleasure yet! I have the entire series but my kid tore the cover and I cried so hubby bought me this to replace it. 10/10 highly recommend for kids who have not t discovered the joys of reading. I love this book so much my only tattoo is inspired by this series. Bruce Coville is an amazing author and I have most of his books, they are also the first books I have read to my children. I don't want to give any spoilers so please just read this lovely book.

I loved this book as a kid and reread the originals as an adult, then read this new rainbow version. This red-cover version of the book (part of the new rainbow edition) didn't seem to have any noticeable changes in story from the first versions other than cover. I didn't notice any word replacements, though the author has said there was some minor editing done to book 1. What I DID notice was several errors in format throughout the new books (for example, end hyphens not following rules of breaking proper nouns, some pages having weird margins (the biggest and funniest example in photo attached), or in book 2, words like “wait-ing” and “Remem-ber” where I assume maybe end hyphens didn’t get removed from previous typesetting, and the last couple pages of an italicized flashback being in Roman in chapter 12 of book 2.)

Ok, reading the summary, looking at the cover and even reading the back when it arrives, you will probably think it's almost funny how cheesy it is. But, read 1 chapter and you'll be absorbed. I started this series back in elementary and was sadly considering that it may dissapoint now that it's been several years, but it didn't :)awesome fantasy series, one of my favourite. The book arrived promptly with a small mark or 2 on it and looking slightly ripply like it had gotten a little wet once, but it was labled Used-very good so I don't care. Although I will say if this is the only cover art you've seen, you might want to look at the original, I actually like it better. The book describes the unicorns as built like a horse but slightly thinner and more refined. The new cover art unicorns look like macho war horses Oo Also the original is an actual scene from the book. I don't think Cara is ever on a rearing unicorn. Overall awesome book, and series. I just love Unicorns.They have been my favourite since I was a little girl.I am so so far away from being a little girl now,but my love for Unicorns is still there.So I had to buy this book not only because of my endless love for them,but also because I read so many different reviews for this book.Well,I definately agree with those who said that this is a great read.Yes,absolutely a well-written,enchanting fantasy story.I loved Cara,that brave special gil,and her friendship with all those creatures from a magical world.Conville's descriptions are so vivid and in such detail that you actually feel like you are in Luster!Generally speaking,this is an awsome adventure and a must read for all fantasy and Unicorn lovers(Lightfoot is an absolute sweet-heart),and I strongly dissagree with those who said this is only for children.You adults out there,read it with you children,grandchildren,godchildren or whatever.I promise you,you won't regret it!

This is a fantastic start to the Unicorn Chronicles. I have the first three books. It's super frustrating that the publisher stopped publishing the final book in the series though! You can now only get it as an audio book, which I did, and it's great. But would rather have the book.

Brought this book for my niece for Xmas as one of her stocking filler gifts. She is mad on unicorns & she enjoys to read too so this seems a perfect little gift for her which I'm sure she's going to love. Arrived promptly & was well packaged. Recommend item & seller.
