Hanumanji is a passionate devotee of Lord Rama. He is one of the key figures in the Hindu epic Ramayana and also mentioned in Mahabharata and various texts and Puranas. Hanumanji was central in Lord Rama's victory over the demon king Ravana. He is the son of Anjana and Kesari and is also described as the son of the wind-god Pawan. Several texts also present him as an incarnation of Shiva.
