CHI Flat Iron Stand, Black

This thing is exactly what you'd expect. It's a flat iron holder with suction cups. Does it work? Yes. Is it good quality? Seems to be. Will my wife use it instead of laying the flat iron and cord all over my side of the sink? Nope. If you're buying this for yourself I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. If you're buying it for your partner in hopes of clearing up your side of the sink and regaining some sanity every morning, well, good luck. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Works great for my small or regular flat iron

It’s stable and I like that it can stand on its own on my countertop if I choose not to mount it. It feels safer and looks neater to have my hair iron in a holder. Currently I have it suction cupped to my bathroom mirror. At first it did not want to stick but after cleaning the suction cups it worked just fine. It hasn’t fallen at all since I got it on there good. I should have purchased this years ago.

Purchased for my straighter which is not a chi but it works great. No more having to worry that my daughter will leave it on top of her vanity when it's hot. She loves it! The price was awesome as well.

I bought this for my wife to help her keep her flat iron safe from damaging with heat and to tidy up the counter space. I should also note that I use this stand with her flat iron for safety when coupled with a smart plug to turn her iron on and off at specific times before she goes to work. I wanted to have her flat iron preheated for her when she was dressed for work and also to ensure she turned it off after she was done using it, as she is notorious for leaving it plugged in and worrying me about setting the house on fire.Her flat iron is a Paul Mitchell something or other (about 1.25") and fits perfectly. The opening appears that it would hold up to a 1.5" flat iron depending on the exact dimensions. The plastic gets hot while her iron is in it, but I see no reason why it would melt or catch fire. I purposely tested it with her flat iron just sitting in the holder for 30 minutes, and while the plastic was hot to the touch (go figure her flat iron is set at 410 degrees ), it does not appear to be a safety or fire hazard.My only complaint is that I cannot get the suction cups to stick to any smooth surface for more than 24 hours. I've tried smooth tile, the smooth granite counter, and the glass mirror for mounting surfaces. The suctions cups always fail within about a day no matter what I do to prepare the surface or the suction cups (i.e. rubbing alcohol, glass cleaner, soapy water, plain water). Once she figures out exactly how she likes it positioned and uses it that way for a while, I'll probably end up using the included anchor and screw to mount it to the wall for her.

This is a great addition to my salon station. Easy to use, durable and stable. Size is perfect for most curling irons and flat irons.
