It will hold AK mags / good color / well made
I was looking for a rig like this for my AK setup and was having trouble finding one. You can tell its made for AR mags, but the AK mags slide in fairly easy. the shape of the mag pokes at the bottom of the pouch, but seems to work just fine. It is made for bigger guys, but with some strap modifications it could be slimmed down to fit skinny people as well. OD green is a little darker than what it shows in the Amazon picture which is perfect for my taste. It has more of a true military OD green tint to it and not the bright "ARMY" green as some might put it. Good rig for the money.

VERY nice budget chest rig. Very well made to stand up to hard use.
For the money this is a VERY nice chest rig. Seems to be very well made and I think this thing will last quite awhile. It's a good, thick cordura material with good, heavy stitching. The buckles are massive so they'll hold up well. It has a huge amount of adjustability too which is nice. I have a nice, expensive USA made chest rig for my AK and this one is very comparable in quality which pleasantly surprised me. I did find the small bungee cords that hold the mags in a little on the loose side (especially when using aluminum GI mags) but that is a super easy fix. You just undo the knot, move them down a bit and re-tie the knot and boom, nice and tight retention. I prefer them this way because as it was out of the box they were loose enough that just shooting and moving around the tabs on top would fall off the top of the magazine and then the mags were basically just sitting there with nothing holding them in place and could fall out. After my adjustment they actually hold onto the top of the mags nice and tight and you have to grab the tab and pull them off the mag. Overall though this is a great chest rig. Unless you're a super cool guy with a ton of money to blow I'd pass on the high end "fancy" stuff like tactical tailor and crap and spend the money you saved on actually important stuff like ammo, more mags and training.

Really well built but...
This is really well built, while it will easily and securely hold 6 AR-15 magazines, it can only hold 3 AR-10 or M-14 magazines. You have to leave every other pocket empty, but the "in between" pockets will easily hold pistol magazines or other gear. I bought some Spanker 3 magazine pouches with molle straps and was able to mount one on the front of the chest rig to have a complete 6 magazine loadout with room for extra molle pouches if I need them.I'm pretty fat, but the chest rig fit perfectly right out of the bag with a couple of inches of adjustment I can use to go over a jacket. Meal Team Six leads the way! :)I can't access the inner mesh pocket, but that's a "me" problem. It's really easy to don or remove with either buckle on the waistband.

Sizing problems? Start here!
I'm seeing a lot of complaints about this rig not fitting smaller people. As I've shown in a couple photos, the velcro strap keepers need to roll up the excess to allow for more adjustment. I could easily take it in another 10 inches around the midsection. This rig really can fit just about anyone. If you're going to keep the mag retention bungees, consider reconfiguring the ends to point down away from the mag openings. It just helps clean up the workspace. Unless you're doing airborne missions or doing tactical rolls, they really aren't needed. Maybe to keep mags in place for grab & go, but they WILL hinder smooth reloading under stress. Flip them out of the way when wearing. This is not my first chest rig. I have Mayflower rig and a High Speed Gear rig. If you want to spend a lot more, those are good choices. I bought a couple of these Condor rigs to hand out for classes. They are of decent quality, comfortable and lightweight, and the price is great. There appears to be elastic loops on each side for a tourniquet or flashlight. I stuck a glove in there for a photo. Nice touch! The D-rings on the shoulder straps are not in the way of shouldering a carbine and they are painted metal. The admin pocket spans the entire length of the rig and has drain holes. The mesh pocket looks like it will help vent a sweaty belly. The X strap retention in the back is okay but if find it easier to don and doff not using it. I like to have my rigs up high, about nipple level with the tops of the mags. It stays put a lot better when running around. The color in the photos is a bit more drab than the actual garment. I would say that the rig is more of a forest green that old school olive drab.I saw a review say that if one of the plastic clips breaks the rig is useless. This is not true. There are replacement clips that can be found on Amazon that slide into place with a slotted opening.

Much better than I was expecting. Unexpected features. No problems with sizing. Great value!
Great value. At the price, I honestly wasn't expecting anything great, but this actually is pretty great. I wish I'd had this type of system when I was still in uniform. I was able to adjust the fit no problem, but of course the military 2% rule on equipment usage applies here [You must be 2% smarter than the equipment you're using. If you can't figure it out, you probably shouldn't be using it.] The open web fabric lining the shoulder pads is a nice touch. I wasn't expecting the big pocket with a velcro patch inside, nor was I expecting the belly pocket. Both great features. Plenty of attachment points for your other MOLLE gear. NATO standard 5.56mm mags fit perfectly. This is really as good or better than the ones I've seen going for twice as much.

Comfortable and Tough
I got this as a secondary backup chest harness. I liked it so much, I now consider it my primary! Tough and fits my slightly portly proportions well. Good mobility. Mags are held close to the body, which feels better to me. Works with both AK and AR mags.
