The characters are easy to like, and we enjoy seeing them interact with the rest of the family that we got to know in the previous book. A fast-paced, satisfying read! Looking forward to more in the series … and especially delving into the secrets that were uncovered!Resort developer Ian McNeill got more than he bargained for when he hired his PI buddy to track down the matchmaker that caused a huge scandal for his brothers a couple of months ago. Never in his wildest dreams did he think he’d come to him with a picture of his ex!Lydia Whitney admits that the secretive matchmaking originally started as a little bit of payback on Ian, but she seriously never meant for the big snafu to happen with his brothers! A big misunderstanding that she was a bit too sensitive about led to them breaking up a year ago after a short-lived relationship … and seeing each other brings back those same old feelings. Ian proposes she help him out of a situation by marrying him for a year … and she reluctantly agrees. When all is said and done, will either of them be walking away?

Never having read her books before, I didn't know what to expect from her to story line, drama and romantic conclusion! I am pleasantly surprised by her successful conclusion of this romance novel ! I look forward to the rest of the books in the McNeill Magnate series!!!

Reading for pleasure.....very good author. Will buy more of her books

The h was a flake. She was judgemental and never cut the H any slack, never gave him the benefit of the doubt, or listened to his explanation w/o a walk out or somehow making it all about her. The ending was sweet, but too abrupt. For all that, it was an engaging story and I read to the end. 3 stars is the maximum I can go though...

4 Stars from Renee!I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first:The Magnate's Mail-Order Bride (The McNeill Magnates #1)This is Lydia and Ian’s story. Lydia and Ian have history so when he finds out she is behind the matchmaking in secret he is going after her. She is messing with his family and he is going to figure out why and take her down. After all she seduced him before it’s only fair to return the favor. He makes her follow his rules by making her agree to be his convenient wife. But the chemistry is still just as hot as before will it end up burning them both in the end? Why would Lydia have done something to his family? Will he ever find out the truth? Or are they both in for a hard and fast fall? I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book.

You cannot go wrong with a Joanne Rock book -- this one was no exception!

I enjoyed this story very much.
