Its a good product, the spoon/ scoop is decent and can be used efficiently to fill a glass with ice cubes, or use it to break frozen cubes apart. The one problem I have noticed is that as you use the ice pick the wood handle ( with stain ) starts to take abuse and chip / get beat up when breaking / chipping ice. Im not sure what the manufactured used for stain or what type of wood this is, but it could be an issue, perhaps resolve it by flaring up the stainless steel where the needle meets the handle.

Love this pick! Solid, heavy and sturdy! Just what I needed since my ice maker broke and we are buying bags of ice. The scoop is okay and works just fine for our needs, I actually really like the scoop for small mouth water bottles too.

These tools are wonderful! We don't have an ice maker and by the time we get home some of the ice has melted. It refreezes into a clump which we easily separate with the pick.
