This Little Live Pets, scruff a luvs sew surprise is very cute, a great idea in principle, but for me a little bit too expensive for what it is. You get 1 pet, be it a cat or a dog, and you won’t know until you’ve washed the ball of fur (as shown in the photo) in warm soapy water and the animal will be revealed. My 5yo was so excited when I gave her this as she had seen the advert for them on tv. She washed the pet as was pleased she got a pink dog. You do have to rinse the toy really well otherwise there are still some crusty parts on the toy (I’ve tried to show this is the photo with the hair). The toy took forever to dry naturally (it does say you can dry with a hairdryer, and to be honest it probably would fluff up better using a hairdryer but with todays electricity prices I wasn’t going to waste it on drying a pink dog). You get a brush, some sunglasses, a load of stickers, and the sewing machine. The stickers are just for decoration and can be placed anywhere you want on the sewing machine, or anywhere else you choose ie. A notebook, pencil case etc. the three sewing reels that are sat oj top of the sewing machine correspond with the drawers on the side of the sewing machine. You take one off, place it on the part of the sewing machine and turn it. This then makes one of the side drawers move and inside reveals and item of clothing for your pet. Each reel does the same thing and reveals a different drawer with a different item of clothing. Now don’t get me wrong, this is a great idea in principle, but once you’ve used the reels to get the clothes out that’s kind of it. The sewing machine becomes redundant and my daughter will play dress up with the dog, but she hasn’t used the sewing machine since she used the reels to get the clothes out. The box does state 10 surprises, but we couldn’t work out what all ten surprises were to be honest? So that was a little confusing. The dog itself is very cute, even if it’s a little scruffy looking despite having a brush. I kind of think for the money it’s a little expensive. I mean once the animal is revealed and the clothes out the sewing machine the novelty has kind of worn off and then it just becomes anothe soft toy with clothes on.

When my daughter was younger, she was mad about anything and all Little Live Pets, so its definitely a trusted brand and one I am well aware of that offers quality toys and that are made to last.Today its all about Surprise Toys and where they are certainly not cheap, they do have that element of excitement attached before unboxing just a toy to be played with.This Sew Surprise toy is more than just bag reveals. Here there is the sewing machine reveal as well as the pet and accessories reveal. It all starts with a ball of fluff …. Will it be a puppy or will it be a kitten…. This will be revealed while having a ‘bath’ in warm soapy water and then towel dried and groomed with a hair dryer.What is next … ‘Sewn’ accessories are revealed when the drawer pops open after twisting a coloured spool.Further accessories are included in the box as well as stickers to decorate the sewing machine.Comes in bright cute packaging.Includes very good step by step instructions which have no complication for young children to get bored with.It is a straightforward, simple but quick and easy set up.A huge hit for my little granddaughter and my 13-year-old had just as much fun I suspect😊 and they both reaaalllly wanted it to be a puppy and I had to breathe a sigh of relief when it was indeed… A Puppy revealed!The cutest puppy I might add - 5 Stars All Round - Love it.

My 9 year old saw this on TV and thought it is so cool. When she saw this toy after coming back home from school she was over the moon. The most exciting part for her must be giving the fur ball a ball and reveal the pet. To be honest when I saw her taking out the pink fur ball from the box it looked a bit horrible. After giving it a lot of washing, she got a pink dog which is completely soaked. Not drying it with hairdryer as it is a waste of electricity, so it took few days to dry in the air.The sewing machine toy that came with the toy is quite cut. It has three reels each one when put in the turning pole different draws will open and reveal the mystery clothing items in them. Since there isn't much other thing you can do about this sewing machine. It was put aside after all the clothing items have been taken out. The design should definitely be improved here or it will be a waste.It think overall all the idea of the toy is good as one - kids like playing with water, and two - revealing the toy is a exciting thing to do. The sewing machine isn't very practical and I think with the selling price of about £30 more items or improvement of the toys can be done.

This a very unusual 'Little Live Pets' soft toy, with the only drawback being the disappointment if your little one has their heart set on a cuddly kitten, and then finds a puppy "magically" revealed after washing the "scruffy matted pet". As already mentioned in other reviews, this product isn't cheap, and unfortunately the novelty of the 'Sew Surprise' will inevitably be short lived for some (to say the least).However, our granddaughter absolutely loves the cuddly toy, and still plays with the sewing machine, pretending to mend the items of clothing that were originally mystery items within a drawer on the side of the machine.A current price of £29.99 is without a doubt expensive, but sometimes it is worth paying that little bit extra, especially if there's longevity with the toy, but not every child will be amused by the novelty for a great deal of time.

It's a bit of a novel concept, and while my niece loved it initially, I found it a little pricey and underwhelming, if I'm honest.Wash the Mogwai like ball of fluff, don't worry it won't turn into a gremlin, and find out whether you've got a dog or cat. You can't instantly play with it as it needs to dry to whack it on the radiator or get the hairdryer out if you need it done speedily.You get some accessories, stickers, the plastic sewing machine, and some things for the animal to wear, but they didn't seem to really catch the attention. The sewing machine has three different coloured bobbins that can be used to open the drawer, but beyond that, it's not super interactive.
