Great shark book!!!
My grandson is only 5 years old, but there isn't anything that kid doesn't know about shark's. When he got this book for his birthday he was extremely happy!! For 2 months he carried it everywhere with him. His mother knew the book inside and out from reading it to him so much! Very satisfied!!

Good for even very small kids - great sharks, no gore.
After the buyout of Nat Geo by Rupert Murdoch, I have been reluctant to support them in any way. However, my toddler nieces have become obsessed with sharks, and I've ben looking for shark materials that aren't too gruesome. This magazine style book is exactly right - they even found a 'smiling' shark for the cover. It has a lot of good info about sharks, presented clearly, with good pix, good bios of shark ichthyologists, and arts/social activism activities that even small kids can get into. Thumbs up.
