Nice Knife
Good Knife. Well built. Initially Difficult to open, but it is getting better the more I use it

Its very light, yet durable, and extremely useful
Its very light, yet extremely durable, and extremely useful multitool. Its lockback release action is backwards from all other manufactures, yet is superior for this type, and easily usable single handed, right or left, with practice. It is safer, more secure than other lockbacks of this type.It is highly corrosion resistant. The blade design is exceptionally usable for all common tasks and more.I use the tweezers and toothpick tools regularly.I wear mine clipped over a belt loop.Leaves me pockets open for large folding combat knifes and a small hatchet I can draw throw and carve with. Leaves my belt open for clipping dog to, carrying canteen, or foraging bag or tomahawk whatever.Clip a tiny thumb squeeze LED light to it and its even more useful.I lost first one moving, ordered another as soon as I could a year later.

Good Knife But Crazy Hard To Open One Handed
This is a good knife overall, but the action is super stiff. Way too stiff. I also get that a lot of people would like the liner lock set up to work in the opposite direction. This does not bother me so much, as I am left handed. Can it be opened one handed? Yes, But, man, it’s enough to make you grimace doing so. Can it be closed one handed? Yes, but the whole operation borders on being unsafe, due to the extreme stiffness in the action. I don’t know if it is just this knife, or what. I suspect not. I think this is set up in line with the manufacturers philosophy concerning safety. Ironically, this makes the knife less safe imo. I don’t have a problem with the way Victorinox does these liner locks generally. I like the two handed 111mm knives pretty well, with their half stops and stiff actions. They are very secure. In fact, my perfect Sentinel Clip would be the two handed model, just with a clip. Unfortunately, they do not make the two handed Sentinel with a clip. I really wish they would. I gave the Sentinel an overall rating of five stars, the lock feature, two stars, and ergonomics and craftsmanship four stars. I really like this knife, but the one handed feature is problematic.

Lightweight. Stiff lock.
Quirky comfortable knife with a left hand liner lock that is super stiff - not a bad thing but definitely not fidgety. Lightweight and a sharp blade (ask my thumb while wiping off pivot lube). I carry a small SAK Alox cadet in my wallet and it doesn’t have the toothpick. The Sentinel does and has a locking blade so perfect to edc them both. Has a little vertical play when deployed. Not horrible and similar to my SAK Ranger in that way. Wish it had the same style unlock as the Ranger where you push the ‘shield’ to unlock the blade. If Victorinox does that in this size knife I am buying! Good value for money and definitely different compared to a lot of other folders.

The Victorinox Fall Short of Expectations.
I’ve collected several Victorinox knives over the years and have a collection of Swiss Army Knives as well as Butcher Knives. This is my first locking blade pocket knife by Victorinox and I was not impressed. There are several of these styles of knives made by other manufacturers and the innovation continues to advance. This knife is somewhat disappointing and is not functional for one handed use. The blade mechanism is very stiff and somewhat difficult to open to the locking position. It requires two hands to fully open the blade. The locking mechanism is on the wrong side as well. The build quality is good but there could be some improvements. The handle looses its grip ability when wet. The belt clip could be in a better position. The bearing could be better for one hand opening. Other than these deficiencies, the knife is usable and I will keep the knife for my collection. I do not recommend this knife for a primary carry for everyday use. There are better options available.

This is my new favorite knife
I use it for nearly everything. The stainless steel blade is easy to sharpen (highly recommend the Victorinox sharpener), looks great, is easy to clean, and is not too thick or too thin. Good to cutting up apples as well as cardboard boxes. Lightweight enough to clip on your back pocket & not know it’s there. Easy to open one handed once it breaks in a little. My only (very) minor complaint is that the blade wiggles a little bit when locked open but it’s hardly noticeable and hey - how much can you expect from a $30 knife. Overall love it. 4.8 out of 5 rating. I suppose if I wanted a little sturdier knife I could upgrade to the Alox version but this one does a great job and is a great price.
