I bought these because I was taking down some curtains for washing and a the plastic hooks started breaking as I took them down. I thought it was me being clumsy at first but after 5 or 6 broke I decided to change over to something better. They aren't so strong to start with and get brittle over time I think. As I I've never seem one of the metal type break, I gave these a go. They are indeed much stronger than bog standard plastic ones, and not much more expensive. They are strong strudy and don't bend out of shape easily. The only downside is that 2 hooks will tend to get caught up together in the packet and can take a bit of fiddling to get apart. otherwise they are better than plastic in every way.

The price and quality of these seem good.Like nearly all curtain hooks they are a bit fiddly to fit, but they work well and will last longer than the plastic ones that they replaced, because they will not deteriorate due to sunlight.

Broght to hand curtains on hoops and pole worked great, easy to use and loads for the money

So pleased with these. A great item to change the plastic curtain hooks I had that kept breaking. Wish I had found them sooner. The only ones I will use from now on. Highly recommend.

So I searched for metal curtain hooks as our plastic ones keep snapping. Amazon choice pops up, and I discover the metal hooks come in gold, silver or dark grey. I order the grey (all the same price/100).They are PLASTIC.. Only the gold and silver are metal. So now I have 200 not very substantial plastic hooks I don’t need.It does say down in the details these are plastic but why list them under ‘metal’ (and why the same price?).
