Lights are great, tripod not as much, but usable if always shooting on a fixed location indoors. Buy third party tripod if you need to move them around a lot, or need to shoot outside. Carrying case is awesome, much better than expected.If you need a remote (which is the Pixel LC8 Wireless Remote), get the kit that comes with it, this one right here, as finding it for sale separately might be extremely difficult, and more expensive. Trust me on this one, I had to refund the other cheaper kit (but otherwise identical, just no remote) because I couldn't find it separately anywhere, except for one in Australia, and worth much more than the price difference between the kits. It looks like it's been discontinued or something, which is beyond me, since the lights are readily available everywhere. I found nothing on the Pixel website, and it's out of stock everywhere. If you don't need a remote, then yes, get the cheaper kit without it. The lights are nice and bright, well-built. Battery option not useful to me, but could be extremely important for others, great option to have.Lots of reviews online, which is great to see if you'll like it before purchasing. Easy to set it all up, didn't even need the manual, although it is available if you need it. Lots of light modes, but I wish someone made a pulsating single color mode (gradually brightening and dimming on a single color mode, sort of a neon sign illuminating an inner-city apartment, for example). Can't find that anywhere, and it's annoying, because it's a very simple feature to implement, albeit granted, it's niche, so not really a con here. There's the usual going through all RGB colors mode, and many others. The police and lightning effects are pretty fun and cool.Anyway, I recommend these 100%. Save yourself money and stop buying cheap dim trash over and over, this one is great value, at a realistic price. Personally, I did not hear any humming from the lights on any mode, and my hearing is great, so the other reviewer either had a defective unit or they updated the design. Buy with confidence, but again, don't put much confidence on that tripod stand if you're out and about!

The product works without problems and I am satisfied. However, I ordered the product as new and it was obviously used due to the clear signs of use, so I deducted 1 star.

The media could not be loaded.  4.5 but rounded up due to overall build quality & reliabilitythe case - top notch fort knoxthe stands - quality but standardthe lights - amazing sturdiness, consistency, & functionality/brightnessthe remote - fav yet. large, responsive, extensivethe cables - 10ft long from wall, 3.75ft from box to lightbatteries - not provided but lights can work wirelesslythe settings/features - just what i needed.. 2x rgb gradients, & a bunch of other random patterns utilizing rgb options and even the white, bright to tungstens, and full custom control of 48 channels with 6 sub-channelssturdiness - as long as you tighten the stands, these things arent movingworth it?imo, yes! having 2 sq ft of controllable rgb/white lights using led's that have the side flappy light guides is so awesome. i used to have 3-5 tiny rgb lights to try and make things work, but between all the smaller lights and tripods needed for those, these help replace more equipment and are easier to maneuver & use.the video i shared goes through the light settings / scenes, and i give my $0.02 on everything..nonetheless, i'm stoked on these.

I bought 4 of these lights in two 2-packs. The lights are bright much better than more expensive brands that I have tried. The build quality is good. The light frame is aluminum and light weight. The control over the color temperature is good. The lighting options for flashing lights in multiple colors emulating police, fire, etc. works fine but not useful to me at this time. The 360 degree color adjustment works fine. My only complaint is that the lights do not attach to the light stand securely. The depth of the socket used to attach to the light stand stud is not deep enough. The screw threads at the top of the light stand stud hit the bottom of the light socket so it does not fit down deep enough over the stud so that the thumb screw can tighten up against the stud properly. A simple fix by Pixel if they want to send me revised sockets.

These Pixel colored lights are perfect for any studio. The ability to use any color and control how bright it is opens up new creative possibilities! They are relatively light with high quality light stands. The setup is quick and easy and even allows you to make them portable by purchasing the appropriate batteries and charger. The back screen is backlit and easy to navigate. It comes with a convenient carrying case that is high quality and makes it a breeze to transport this setup wherever you go. These are an awesome addition to my camera arsenal and I can't wait to see the images I'll be able to take!

The brightness of these LEDs are amazing. As today, I don’t think you can find the same brightness with the competency.Also I found super helpful the matter that you have a remote control and you can control se LED’s.They included a nice bag, you easily can travel with this set up to one location to another.And, the warranty, make sure to register the warranty with the manufacturer.

I LOVE mine... the stands are very tiny BUT: they fit in the carrying bag..I use them on C-Stands and am VERY VERY HAPPY with them...the built in bard-doors are a bonus
