It fits in the above head storage on a plane with no problem...if they let you pass with it at the gate. I was forced to check it once because a lady was being difficult and a stickler for the carry-on guideline dimensions, so I had her walk down as they do for strollers...long story short, when I reached my destination my iMac was safe and sound.I would highly recommend this case if you plan on flying or commute a lot for work like me.

Great buy. I took my iMac 21.5 inch to Africa from the US as carry-on baggage just this October. It arrived intact. The airline did not recommend checking the bag as they didn’t think it would survive the “rough treatment” airport crew give to baggage.

Gift for father in law, who loved it! A must have if you need to transport Imac.
