I had the first one on my budget/beater hardtail for 3 years before putting it on a road bike a year ago. Bought the second one about a year ago when (slowly) rebuilding that hardtail into a full rigid bike and have had it on for several rides now. Both have proven themselves durable and have given me no issues. As with any parts structural parts it’s good to check them frequently for wear or damage, but like I said, no issues from them.

Cool anodize colors the machining isn't the best but the price is. For a cheap xc bike . Makes for faster response in turns . I like this upgrade

*former bike mechanic of 6 years* Ive had this on my stock Giant Talon for a year and a half now, and it’s fine. I ride my local blue and black trails that range from moderate downhill, small jumps and drops, to techy xc stuff. My area is realllly rocky. No real issues, it’s holding up fine, but I am only 160lbs. My biggest complaint is that it’s creaky. I’ve taken it off, thoroughly cleaned, greased bolts, and reinstalled and made sure to tighten the bolts evenly and to the torque spec multiple times, but I can’t get it to stop creaking. Especially noticeable on climbs or when you put a lot of torque on the bars. It doesn’t fill me with confidence, but again, it’s been ridden fairly hard for a year and a half and hasn’t failed yet… it was only 10 bucks. If it costed more then it would get a lower score. Got the gold and it’s cool.

Pretty solid. There are no Torque specs but the stem easily holds up to 5nm and is very sturdy. I would definitely recommend this stem and its a great price.

I love the look and geometry of this new Wake handlebar stem. I paired it with a wake handlebar and the overall feel of the bike has greatly improved. The new stem brought the handlebar a bit closer which makes the bike feel more agile and easy to turn. This stem was also a lot lighter than the stock big box steel part it replaced, which has improved the feel of the bike. I can’t get over the look either - it make me feel like my Walmart Schwinn is a bit closer to being a proper mountain bike.If you’re putting this on your bike, be sure to buy some extra stem spacers as you will likely need to add or adjust the sizing to get the new stem to sit right. This is very easy to do provided you have the spacers (which I also got on Amazon)

Being that this is really cheap, it’s fine. Good if you want to experiment with a shorter stem before committing to a more expensive and high quality one. My main gripes are that the green color is simply not as green as the pictures. In low light I thought they’d sent a gold one. It’s very yellow. And then as others have mentioned, the stack height is short. You’ll need extra spacers.
