3m 14316 Marine Adhesive Sealant 4000 Uv

I LOVE this stuff. I seal a lot of automotive areas prone to water intrusion. Never let me down. Stay flexible and strong adhesion.

Using the 3M sealant 4000 for waterproofing my Ford transit van roof rack used this product before excellent product

Arrived dry, had to throw it away

This is good stuff. Lasts a long time in the sun and salt. Dries quickly though so only do small sections at a time.

A thin aluminum tube filled with $34 in caulking, was shipped in a bubble envelope. Arrived like a dented soda can, as expected. Product is not usable without leaking all over, don't recommend buying this product from Amazon. 3M 4000UV itself is an amazing caulk, with adequate bonding strength, remains flexible, and won't yellow. I'll buy elsewhere.

a thin waterproofing layer didn't cure in 2 days and is still tacky. A larger amount of product does not cure inside at all. It feels like the product is either bad quality or was not properly stored and lost its qualities.Update: read Home Depot reviews for this product. Most reviews say the same as per the above - bad product, does not cure.

I have used the black uv 4000 before and I know that it is great.
