Thank goodness for this recipe from THK!! :) I have done a fair share of researching and looking around for dog food that contains limited specific ingredients with no potatoes and limited preservatives. This product has saved my little frenchie's from his longstanding tummy issues due to his multiple food sensitivities and allergies. Before this, I tried almost all the better known/available dry food brands and raw foods with my little one but nothing seemed to work for long before his digestion issues (bloating, diarrhea, vomiting, itchy paws and ears) would return. I tried homemade meals for him but that wasn't a sustainable solution for us. One night, I decided to switch my pup's dinner to this product and he didn't have and still hasn't shown any digestion issues/stomach upset (a VERY good sign for my frenchie). His bathroom routine has never been better or more regular so that makes me a very happy doggy mom. The recipe does have a fishy smell to it but that's a small price to pay as my pup simply LOVES eating this food. He seems to like it even more if I added a bit more warm water to the mix, which I think it brings out the flavour and the aroma more. All in all, my frenchie and I have been very happy to come across this product from THK. :)

Hi I have been purchasing Honest Kitchen from your website several times and never checked the products before. But I'm extremely disappointed to find that I had received an expired product. The limited fish had expired in 10 Jan 2021 which I received in February 6. Terrible. I'm appalled at the level of service and product . I had trusted amazon prime and never thought of checking the products before. Its not whether you refund or replace but I'm thinking if I should even order this product anymore. Horrified!

Our almost 12-year-old Border Collie goes nuts for this and will eat it without any toppers on it. Usually I put a bit of cooked ground turkey or ground beef or salt-free sardines packed in water atop her re-hydrated Honest Kitchen food and she will not eat it unless that is on there! However, this one seems to have a lot of spinach in it, apparently, so I only give it to her occasionally (maybe once a week) because I think a lot of spinach is bad for kidneys, esp at her age. That said, this is pretty expensive stuff.....but she is worth it!! I recommend this dehydrated dog food.

68 vine reviews in return for free product. 11 verified-purchase reviews. HMMM. I don't know if Amazon decides on this vine program or if Honest Kitchen does, but this is a huge integrity issue for me on a product that has to do with my animal's health and longevity, vs something benign like a pen or a spatula.. I see that one or two of the SIXTY EIGHT vine reviews out of 84 total votes are negative, but the vast majority are positive. Let's not even discuss the conflict of interest of free product and reviews, let's just look at how long these users used the product. What size sample did they receive, how long did their dog use it, etc. These are probably not long-term users. These are not reviews that I trust if the users are open to trying whatever they get for free . The target market is non toxic and natural and those are the users whose feedback I value. I'm disappointed at the prospect that Honest Kitchen is engaging in this kind of marketing, and it undermines my trust in the brand.
