2nd none with an offering for everyone
This is a completely honest review and I’ll say this about Death Grip it’s 2nd to none, I bought all 4 hold strengths and I’ll give you my opinion on all of them. Bare Bones: this has been the answer to my daily driver wax, I’ve tried multiple medium hold wax’s from various brands and this has been the best. I work in the road construction industry and I do not want to style my stache daily so this is excellent for keeping it out of my mouth and styled enough with a quick comb through and it’s good for the day. Sudden Death: I was using another brand that’s pretty reputable that has a similar hold but Sudden Death last longer and doesn’t let go through the day, I use this for a quick style of an English and Hungarian it’s a great strong hold. Bare Bones: this here is my go to for strong hold that last until it’s removed, I use this for going out and when I want my style to hold and you won’t find a better wax imho, it does take a bit of time and effort but the end results are worth it I use my hair dryer to warm the wax I scrape it out and apply it to my mustache, then using the hair dryer and Death Grip comb I spread it through my hairs then I style it has been my absolute go to for all day style and hold. The OG Death Grip: I will be honest this is my least favorite to use simply because of the time it takes to apply it and I’m not a huge fan of the tackiness BUT it still provides incredible all day hold and style, its hold is similar to Bone Crusher but the tackiness adds a flexibility that Bone Crusher doesn’t have I recommend it to those seeking an incredible hold and style but also likes the give just know it requires heat just like Bone Crusher to remove it from the tin and to apply. It took me a few years to get on board but now I’m part of the Death Grip family as long as I have my stache

ALL NATURAL, PERFECTION
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Really good quality wax. It’s not sticky on my skin, perfectly shapes the mustache and holds strong but not clumpy. There is no overpowering scent. Very subtle natural scent that almost goes away as you wear the wax. Applying it without heat but it’s good for it to be a bit warm. Once applied, style with a comb or a brush and forget about it. Really recommend this wax! The best part- ALL NATURAL! AND VETERAN OWNED! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

High quality stache wax
Finally ran out of my 3 cans of Death Grip, by Vintage Grooming. A wax I am thoroughly impressed by and use every day. I was invited to purchase Bone Crusher on an early batch but still had a mountain of Death Grip and did not need another tin in my supplies. That said; I would have bought 2 had I known just how great the latest offering from Vintage Grooming is. I ordered a can, and was rather excited. I absolutely love the packaging and branding from Vintage Grooming. I own a tee shirt and their stickers decorate my work shop. And I find uses for the tins. And the guitar picks are a little extra detail that really make their wax stand out. So I couldn't wait to see the latest art featured on the Bone Crusher. I was not disappointed. The art is phenomenal and unique. But Art doesn't make the wax. The price is right in line with their other waxes. It won't break the bank and your money will go far. And it's money well spent. Opening my Bone Crusher; very easy. I've had trouble with Death Grip. Once the wax gets on the threads, there are times I need channel locks to break that sucker open. I have yet to see if BC gooks up the threads in a similar fashion. But so far, it has not been an issue. To solve the DG unthreading problem, I simply do not engage the lid fully. I don't have to apply it more than once a day, and therefore have no need to carry it with me. And no need to seal it. This is a first world problem and does not take away from DG which I rate 5 stars. Bone Crusher is not as sticky. It is a tough wax. Rock hard in the can. A hairdryer is absolutely required. Thankfully, the residue doesn't cling to the hairdryer or the plug. I've had Death Grip on just about every item in my house at one point or another. Not so much with Bone Crusher. It has a manly smell. Not flowery or perfumed. That's not to say it smells bad. It is a pleasant scent and appropriate for a mans stache. It smells fresh and clean. Just not overpowering. Heating it up with a hairdryer on high heat. It takes much longer than DG. Stays liquid for a very brief time and is dry by the time it gets to the stache. Therefore more heat is needed. It goes in wonderfully smooth. It doesn't clump or clot. My stache doesn't separate into multiple strands. And therefore the wax just coats everything evenly and requires very little. And that little will go a long way. A few dips in the liquid wax on each side. A few strokes. Some pinches and smoothing. A few tweaks to shape it. In spite of a longer heat time. It takes less time to shape and form and get a good even coat than with DG. My stache looks natural and full. It doesn't look like I've got any product in. And it remains in shape, all day. I have a large mustache and I'm not using much BC at all. Shaping my stache into a proper and finely sculpted Handlebar is a breeze and less messy. I work in a forge with hot sparks and high temperatures. Welding and grinding and a lot of fumes and smoke. The BC holds up 100% It was the same shape when I left the house and the same shape after 10 hours of work. In fact, it only relaxes after I soap up and leave it in for most of my shower. And to my satisfaction, my mustache seems to be healthier since I started using BC. I'll still buy DG. But my new primary wax is definitely Bone Crusher. If you need a solid, extra strong hold wax, then Id definitely recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Good strong wax, but be careful
My husband just recently got this for his mustache and he likes it cause it holds his mustache for hours, he went to work for 10 hours (he works outside too) and when he got home it was still in place, but the biggest complaint he has about it is the tackiness of the wax itself (cause you have to melt it first) he said it can get everywhere if you’re not careful, it’s almost the consistency of glue or honey it’s so thick. But it does hold for hours.

Strongest hold you'll need
My favorite, strongest mustache wax so far. Works for all styles that require strong hold. 10/10!

Great medium hold mustache wax! Tough enough to hold all day, easily
Great and true medium hold wax! This wax is pretty hard. Heat helps alot, whether by finger pressure whiping or better yet, hair dryer. I dint have a hair dryer so I used a butane disposable lighter to hack the problem. It did harm up the wax so it applied great! Just what I needed! It last you longtime! However! after heating the wax this way 2-3 times, I noted a dendritic pattern of blackness radiating from the wax inside of the tin, 1/8" toward the center. Odd, so I dont think I'll do it again. Anyone of you have a easy way to heat wax without a bunch of todo?

Not stiff enough
If your mustach is long enough to curl up. This product was not strong enough to hold its shape for mine. 1/2 inch curl

EXACTLY the right amount of hold and ease of use!
Summary: Whether you're training a long term mustache for the first time or you're participating in a Movember contest, you will love this wax! It's not prohibitively expensive, but it packs a huge value for the price and doesn't leave you feeling like you wasted money on another speculative product that only half works. Background: This is my third year growing out a Chevron (5 months on, 5 months off), and I have a 50-70% filled mustache with medium coarse hair, so being able to style it effectively and hold while not looking greasy or out of place is extremely important to me. I usually use wax, a blow dryer and a boar hair brush to get the perfect style, and need a semi-strong hold for both daily wear and regular hair training. Hold: I would say this is a medium/strong hold. It gets exponentially stiffer the more you use, but it's easy to predict how much you need after the first or second time using it. You can easily use this product to overpower a bad hair day or just to maintain a good style. Ease of use: The guitar pick is an absolutely stellar addition to this product. A few light scrapes along the surface and you have just enough to rub between your fingers and apply to a medium stache. You can apply this dry or with heat and it sets almost instantly, although using hot/cold on a hair dryer is the best and fastest method. The product washes off fingers easily even though it's very tacky when holding it. After a shower, I can't feel the product in my stache, but if I sweat it doesn't seem to affect it which is a win on both sides. Feel: for the wearer it's not super hard or uncomfortable. It's about the consistency of a mild hairgel once dried and can be restyled throughout the day without having to apply more. For others, I would recommend using less than your normal amount as kissing (or other physical contact) will make the wax slightly noticable over a conditioned and cleaned mustache, but it won't explicitly stand out as the wearer having product in their hair. Overall, I think cosmetic products are very subjective, but this product will be my go-to for as long as I can get it!
