Lightning Pro Concrete Mixer, iCMLP-50

What a great idea. I have been putting this thing through its paces for over a year and a half. I've mixed at least 50 bags of type s mortar. I just ordered another because I'm worried this one is going to break at the wrong time. I've abused the you know what out of it and left it outside for all this time. Take great care of it and it will probably last as long as you need it.

Smart, innovative product for sure!As soon as this "wand" arrived, I used it to mix some concrete to create a pad for our trash bins. Previously, I hated having a concrete project due to having to switch from shovel to water to adding mix to shovel...etc.. Then there was the cleanup, a pain especially for trying to clean the hose and shovel..Now comes the Lightning Pro. In our wheelbarrow, added mix and rocks, then squeeze the trigger and pull to mix! Excellent. The trigger is easy to control, and the handhold in the middle of the mixer is comfortable on the hands and makes it very easy to control. Needless to say, the mix is done a LOT faster, and more consistently. Small voids of dry mix are easily combined with the wet after primary mixing with your hand trowel.This is a great product. That being said, it could be improved, both in function, and with owner supplied accessory.1. Twisting a hose onto a long tool like this is a bit of a pain, and the addition of a quick connect would greatly enhance its ease of use2. I would like to see a little more capability for more precise control of the water flow with the trigger. It's not that it is bad...it could just be slightly improved for flow control.On a VERY positive note, we also tried this for mixing and initial watering of potting and garden soils that we make ourselves. This tool was magic for combining the ingredients and adding appropriate moisture into the mix, rather than top watering which is far less precise! Excellent!Overall, very happy with this new tool, and recommend it for all who have mixing needs.

Just laid 45sq ft of 4in mixing in a wheel-barrel with Lightening Pro. Worked great. Really nice in rinsing wheel-barrel and tools between mixes. Rinse water in barrel served as mix water. Did the job in two hours in pre-formed walk. Would buy again and recommend to others.

I seldom to write a review ,but this one save my back from shoveling. Easy to use.

This is perfect for those small home jobs where you don't wish to use a larger concrete mixer, nor have the money to have a big truck come out to pour a small patio etc. It is perfect for pouring small batches at a time into stone molds for stepping stones. You can find concrete paint to stain the steps and make your own for half the price of stones at the stores. This is also easy to use. (For small stepping stones, it is easier to control how much is poured into mold if you mix and pour from a bucket. You may wish to pre-measure water, or stick with baking rules and add just a little water at a time. The squeeze handle makes it easier, but if you have a long day of mixing your hand is going to get tired and sore. Also, make sure you rinse the blade off each time after use. A buildup on the blade will slow it down, and may even break it down after a while to where it won't spray water well etc. Follow the instructions, and this tool should last a long time. Nothing you can use to pour a driveway or swimming pool with of course, but very nice for the medium size jobs. It will certainly save time since you can mix and squirt water at the same time.

My husband has need to mix concrete from time to time but not enough to invest in a full-sized concrete mixer. He usually just uses the the manual method of a wheelbarrow and hoe. You put the bag of concrete in the wheelbarrow, add water and mix it up with a hoe. This tool combines the hoe and water hose into one tool. You hook the garden hose right up to the end of the handle and the water flows through the tool out the other end into the wheelbarrow. The handle has an end where you can control the water flow. It saves you from having to start and stop mixing to pick up a hose to add water. You can add water with the press of the handle as needed.The tool end is shaped so you can get into the corners of the wheelbarrow or mixing tub.It works and is easy to use. The components are heavy duty enough to hold up over time if used with care.
