Korean Folktales for Language Learners

Great stories, nice vocab, and great explanations. Much better than the first book.

Beautiful and very well made. I can’t read this level of Korean yet but this book is helping me get a lot better. If they ever publish more books in this series (many languages have two books so maybe thrill add more), I will definitely buy them.

This is a nice companion to the red book so many Korean learners have, Korean Stories for Languages Learners, also from Tuttle. I've read all the stories in both books at least a couple times each, so I want to do a quick comparison. Unlike the first, this one is written using the conversational -요 form (first uses -니다), defines a much larger number of vocabulary words, and also provides explanations of several grammar point for each story. The stories also get more complex as you go, and by the end advanced grammar points are regularly included. It's worth getting both, as each volume focuses repetition on different grammar points, but if you can only get one, get this one.

If you love a good book, you have to check this one out. Not only is this the best book I’ve read in 2024, this book is so far the best book I’ve ever read of all time. Excellent insights, thrills and good reads with this masterpiece.

Good to practice Korean, nice book

There are lots of shorter stories here you won't get in a normal Korean folktale book. Obviously for the Learn Korean part. Which is also why it's good.
