The PTSD Challenge Coin was designed by Paul V. Jockimo. The challenge coin has a 1.75" diameter and is 3mm thick. What the coin represents: The Teal outer ring is the color of PTSD awareness. This color ties those many millions together in commonality. The gold lettering on the black background, represents an emerging from the darkness in which PTSD has been kept for far too long. The hardened metal of which the coin is made, represents the strength, often un-noticed or forgotten, of those with PTSD. And the reversed PTSD on the back of the coin represents the turning around of mind-sets and characterizations that have helped unfairly isolate so many.
