Bird on a Branch Necklace Hand Sawn from Sterling Silver

Bird necklaces are a favourite of mine. I love how each time I make one, it ends up completely different from the last. I guess that's the nature of the natural shapes and handmade jewellery! I used a jewellers saw and the traditional saw piercing method to saw out the little bird shape from a sheet of sterling silver. I have given the pendant a brushed polish finish. For the final shine, and to add strength, I barrel polished the pendant. The triangular shape measures 2.2cm tall (approximately 0.9 inch) and 1.8cm (0.7 inch) at the widest point. It hangs from a 16 inch sterling silver chain. Will arrive in a gift box... enjoy!
