Just a note to anyone looking to purchase suction based grip, they ALL work along the same concept - you MUST have a smooth totally flat surface where the 2 suction cups goes. That means, no grout lines, no rough/textured tiles etc, only flat totally smooth (think marble like) surface. Otherwise suction based grip just will not work no matter what.Now once above requirement is met, next is to pick a quality suction product, and this definitely fits the bill, goes on good, easy to secure in place and will remain for a long time.As with any suction based grip, the idea is it gives you a handle to hold on to, it is NOT designed for you to put your entire weight on it as a support to stand. If you have physical issues and need to put the full force on a grip to stand etc..do yourself a favor and get a professionally installed screw grip that is secured to the studs. Suction grip will fail if you keep putting the full body weight on it that can result in serious injury.

Very happy with this design & performance. We are 40-55kgs. Felt very very solid mounted. One day it suddenly came off. Hence always check prior to use and remount - but suits our purpose.Good to trial and error positioning prior to permanent fixture (for heavier users).OR just keep using this without the need for a handyman.

I cleaned the tile and installed it. It’s very solid as I tug on it each time I hop in the shower to test it. It hadn’t moved at all.

This 16" Chrome Suction Grab Bar is a great buy. The suction pads seem to work better than on other products when installed properly. I had a rough tile texture in my shower. This makes it difficult for the suction cups to maintain a secure position. I installed Volport 3.74" mounting disks (purchasing separately) prior to installing the grab bar. Works Great!

Looks good, sticks to the wall well, seems sturdy but I'm only giving two stars for installation because it took some time.Unfortunately there was rectangular warning label glued to the front of the handle, very unsightly. In the pictures of the product there is no sign of this label. And it was one of those old school stickers that is very difficult to peel off and then leaves a sticky, white, glue residue. The only way I could remove that was to go out and purchase Goof-Off, not something you want to apply to a new finish. But it worked, though it cost me 45 minutes of my life.
