Healthy Dogma Petmix Original Dog Food, 12-Pound

I ordered a bag of chicken dog food for my severely allergic. The company sent me a bag that had to have meat added. I called the company twice, never did get them. Left two messages they never called back.

I had a recent experience with this store via internet shopping. In reading reviews in various places, the bad experiences all seem to have a common denominator, Tom, the apparent Owner. My experience is as follows- I have been an internet customer for several years. I needed to place an order, as I use the Original Pet Mix to supplement the food I cook for my dog. I received an e-mail informing me that they were running 20% off online orders. I went to their site and ordered my normal food and noticed that in big bold writing by the Pet Mix with Chicken –BUY TWO GET TWO FREE. I don’t give my dog chicken because of some allergies but my daughter just got a new puppy and I thought this would be a good chance for her to try the food. So I put “1” in the quantity and it charged me for 2 bags and I would get two free. That would be correct in my world. Pay attention to that because it will become relevant later. I then ordered what I wanted, put in my coupon code for the discount and went on my way. Approximately an hour later I received this e-mail from the Owner, Tom :KThe Chicken promotion ended over two weeks ago. We would not be able to give two discounts on one order. Please advise.Thank you,Tom Peters1-800-DOGMA-99www.HealthyDogma.comWell, first of all as a business owner, I would never ask my customer to be inconvenienced because of my mistake, but apparently Tom doesn’t see it that way. Trying to give the benefit of the doubt that sometimes e-mails come across in a way they weren’t intended and thinking, well, if giving me what you advertised is going to send you into Bankruptcy, just take it off, but I would like to point out this was your mistake not mine, hence my response –Well, I was just going by what was on your website. That was how it was advertised and how it showed up on my receipt. I did not put any special code in to get that, just what I was charged. Delete it and adjust my credit card charge to reflect the PetMix Original. Possibly, if it ended two weeks ago, the website should be updated? Thanks.Still wanting to believe that there are people out there that want to do the right thing, I just felt sure when he realized that I was a little offended by his first e-mail that I would get an apology, well think again. This was his response-KEveryone can make a mistake for instance the deal was buy two bags and get two free, you only bought one. So you want me to refund the chicken dinner? no problemTomThat was the last straw and I e-mailed him back with a few choice remarks and told him I had been a customer for a number of years but cancel the entire order that I would not do business with ANYONE with that kind of Customer Service. If you note, he is so out of it that he reprimanded me for only selecting “one” when I really wanted “two”. As I explained to the “gentleman”, I marked “one” for one deal in which HIS website charged me correctly, for the TWO bags, which was correct. Not only is he rude, not too much going on upstairs either.If you want a decent product, no complaints, but if you are like me and fed up with rude behavior and condescending attitudes, go elsewhere. We are all used to putting up with non-existent customer service, but when bad customer service crosses the line to rude, arrogant attitude, they won’t get any of my money.

I have bought this dry mix twice, both times from the manufacturer. If I had known it was available here on Amazon, I would have ordered it here because my total price (after free shipping) would have made it a better deal. So my review does not show an Amazon Verified purchase, but I have definitely used it. My next order will be from here.So.... words are a little insufficient to describe just how good this petmix is. A little background here. Until recently, I had two aging dogs in my household. A 13 year old pomeranian and a 13 year old yorkie. Over the last year, age was starting to really show with both. After reviewing dog foods and dog food nutrition, I have tried a variety of ways of getting them optimal nutrition. We tried raw feeding for a couple months, which seemed to improve their health but I ran into a lot of resistance of feeding them raw meat from both family and vet. Then the pomeranian developed pancreatitis. The pancreatitis was totally unrelated to the raw feeding, because I had switched to canned Wellness for a short time while the dog was boarded. But regardless, I ended up switching from raw to homemade cooked food (about 90% chicken based meals).The homemade meals they liked for a while, but then they both got finicky and did not want to eat it. So from there we switched to Freshpets refrigerated dogfood, and then alternated with Wellness dog foods again. After months of this, the aging process continued. The yorkie started showing signs of doggie dementia, and both dogs were starting to really show the aches and pains of arthritis. A few weeks ago we decided it was time for the yorkie to go to sleep, and after he passed we took on a young dog, a Tibetan Spaniel aged 1 1/2 years.About the time we got the tibbie, I found out about the birkdale petmix from an internet dog forum. The review there was great, so I decided to try it. The petmix is just an additive that must be mixed with meat and water. The combination makes a mushy food that contains real homecooked meat plus lots and lots of very healthy vegetables. The vegetables seem to have been picked with an eye towards antioxidants and healthy fats and vitamins.The results: both dogs absolutely love it. They go at it like it was dog manna from heaven. It is hard to describe the enthusiasm that they have for this dog food. In just a little over two weeks of feeding, the pom demonstrates incredible improvement. He is acting years younger, the arthritis does not appear to bother him much, and he is happy and energetic. The tibbie shows no signs of improvement, but he came to us with the health of a puppy and so no improvement was probably to be gained, at least not obvious improvement.I wish I had been able to try this food with our yorkie before we had him put to sleep. I suspect it may have improved his health too.Conclusion: if you have a sick or elderly dog, buy this food and look for improvements. The health improvment takes a few weeks. Its like this food helps the dog replace all the toxins and carcinogens that he has accumulated from a lifetime of eating commercial dog food and replaced it with all the good things from healthy meat and vegetables. Absolutely astoundng.
