I just recieved these and got them charged up so I can't speak on longevity but I can confirm that they work for the Z8. I upgraded from a D850 and Z6ii and was left with several batteries that did not work in the new Z8. After scouring 3rd party listings most reviews showed that these worked and I can now confirm the same. *update - you get what you pay for an it's understandable. These discharge incredibly fast even when not in the camera. I noticed with first delivery and exchanged for a new set. No change. For the price they are OK as a backup

I am delighted with these batteries. First of all, they work in my new Nikon Z 8 camera! (My older batteries that worked fine in my Nikon Z 6ii do not work in the Z 8, giving me only an error message.) Secondly, these Batmax batteries communicate perfectly with my Z 8 camera, showing charge remaining and number of pictures taken. Thirdly, they hold a nice charge. In my first test run with one of these batteries, I took 442 photos, with the camera menu indicating the remaining charge was still 7%. This is perfectly satisfactory with an after-market battery that costs about 1/6 of the Nikon original. The only negative point I must report is that the batteries do not come with plastic end caps to protect the battery terminals when not in use. This oversight is penny-foolish and downright silly. Batmax could easily provide the plastic caps and charge 25 cents more for two batteries and no one would care or even notice. Still, this Batmax battery is a 5-Star item!

Good batteries for the money. Not as long lasting per charge as the OEMs but for a fraction of the price, who can complain? (I'm sure somebody will) Good value so long as you have realistic expectations. I recommend them.

I gave the longevity 4 star cuz I really haven't used them but about a month. They're a perfect fit! They're holding their charge great and video mode. So far I couldn't be happier we'll just see how they last in the long run

I don't know how the batteries perform yet because I just received the package one day ago. However, I know the charger doesn't perform as expected. I first used the micro USB to charge both battery and took them off the charger when the light displayed that they were done. To my very surprise, one of them was shown 61% charged and the other 63% after I popped them into my Nikon Z8. I then used the USB-C cable to charge the 61% battery and took it off once the charger displayed its full. This time my Z8 showed 81%. I put it back onto the charger again and took it off once it displayed full. It's still only 91% full on my Z8. This is not acceptable because you don't want to carry not fully charged batteries when you are out and shooting. You want every and all your equipment in its top-notch condition to be with when you are out there. This is very, very disappointing.

My batteries seem to always run out when I’m out on location and have no where to plug in to charge them. I hope these last, and time will tell. But just the fact of having a couple extra for back up is awesome. So far so good!

I'm pretty happy with these so far. I spent several days with just one of these in my camera, including a day touring waterfalls around Portland OR. That day I shot at least 200 pix, and I shot around 200 more in the days up to and after that day. Camera shows the battery still at greater than 50%. Don't know how long they'll last, but I'm happy with them so far!

Last as long as the original Nikon battery.

I have a bunch of these for my 2 Nikon D7000's. I never really think about them, Which means they're doing what they're meant to. Good buy.

Great it’s charges fast lasts a long time

Of course I have no longevity data, but they charge quickly, and the charger is one cool little portable unit, with it's own self storing USB cord, and a plug for a longer USB cord if you want. Color me impressed.

an excellent alternative to the Nikon OEM batteries : fully compliant EN-EL15a replacement battery; working without issue in my D810.
