I got this to trim a branch from a tree that was catching the telephone wires when it got windy. Easy to assemble and great adjustable height reach. Bit of chainsaw oil ( I actually used vegetable oil) and voila, tree sorted. It's a great bit of kit. I was impressed by how light it was, not to mention how quickly it cut through the offending branch as well as chopping this down to a reasonable size for the recycling. For the price it is excellent. The instructions are easy to follow. Admittedly with my eyesight, I had to enlarge the instructions to be able to read them properly. But instructions are included, which seems to be rare with so many items these days. I would recommend this item.

Very effective on medium thickness branches. I was cutting low hanging ash branches of two-three inches thick. Remember to tighten the chain as per instructions before/ after use or chain will fly off. I had some trouble pushing the two halves of the shaft together when assembling, but a spot of vaseline cured that. The whole thing is quite heavy. Probably need to make better use of the shoulder strap than I did to balance it. A cap comes with one of the shafts to cover the electrical connection in transit - this is worth keeping and using for storage purposes.

For what it is a fair price,neatly packed and as in two halfs ,easy to store.Have repect for its limitation as over presure when cutting ,the chain comes off to easy ,otherwise does its job well,only main complaint,for the not so young,it can be top heavy when at full length cutting otherwise ok machine as easy to assemble and keep clean.

Where do you start with an item this bad!I was willing to overlook the plastic child's toy look but not the flimsy materials used. The extension pole should stay in position with a plastic clip but it's not strong enough to hold it. The plastic locking nut housing that secures the chain is not strong enough to hold together during use, despite having two parts to turn, so the chain is constantly falling off and a constant tightness is impossible to maintain. You end up covered in chain oil as you constantly make repairs. The foam/rubber grip area fell apart during the first use. The battery is small which can be a good thing but sadly it has a very limited time run, takes hours to recharge and even has a poor connection to the charger so you need to push it hard to secure the connection. The operating handle has a slide button you must push up before the handle grip switch operates, however the connections are so bad that you need to keep the slide button pushed or it will just keep cutting out.I wanted this primarily to reduce the size of a high hedge but only to cope with the thicker parts as I already use a pole hedge trimmer.Inevitably you will encounter smaller branches and leaves which act like this machine’s nemesis. They accumulate and wedge themselves in the chain housing and need to be constantly removed but you will probably be refitting the chain anyway as it falls apart again. By far the worst thing about this though, is the fact that I bought it as it was the “Amazon Choice” item.

Nice product for a good price. Used it for three days and it worked nicely. But after that, the chain tightening ring and the cover nut (holding the chain saw securely in place) became loose and couldnt be tightened resulting in the chain saw falling off every time i turned it on. I have sent it back to the seller for a replacement.

Cut through branches effortlessly from a long height which ment a ladder was not required.Long Battery - didn't run out whilst cutting tree branches down.I would highly recommend this product. Chainsaw oil is needed with this product as suggested to reduce excess friction which makes it a breeze to use.
