Le Petit Prince - Avec les dessins de l’auteur (French Edition) Paperback – May 6, 2017

My wife saw this on Antiques Roadshow and original first edition worth something but it reminded her of her childhood in Europe as an Army brat (She says Army Angel) when her dad had bought her a copy in french while she was going to school. She looked wistful.I love Amazon for that... I just went downstairs and found a copy and bought it. It was a surprise for her and she loved it. I enjoy seeing that certain but rare smile and got it, both the book and the smile.

I loved this when I was in high school and can still easily savor it today, fifty years later. The story is so sweet with a powerful message for anyone. Simply Timeless. I bought it in English, as well, so I can share it with my younger friends.

Read the story years ago, re-read it today and found more meaning, more magic, more emotion...The important is invisible to the eyes... More true and beautiful than ever...

One of my favorite books!

I love this little book, trying to read it in French to my daughter, we are both learning French and this is a great book that helps us learn to read French and laugh at the same time.

I'm probably still too lost to review this but it was lovely. By lost i mean, it reminded of so many things and it'll take a long time to understand what they mean. It is simple in its profoundness. It is also great French practice.

I bought these books for my Honors French 3 students to read. As we are reading, there are a lot of typos. This is unacceptable to me as a teacher who thought she was buying something that her students could keep forever, as I still have my copy from high school that my teacher gave me.I am so disappointed in these. The most recent typo we found is on page 87 about halfway down the page. It says, «C'est ta laute; dit le petit prince, je ne te souhaitais point de mal, mais tu as voulu que je t'apprivoise. » WHAT does laute mean? It should read, «C'est ta faute...» This is just one example of many more that we have come across.

The editing was not done carefully enough. There are errors in diacritics, punctuation and word spacing! This takes away from the pleasure or re-reading a well loved book.
