Excellent quality, holds washes well, and generally takes pen and ink without problems although too much pressure can break the paper's surface or scuff it or cause the ink to bleed. Works with acrylics but may buckle if too much water is used*. For watercolors, I tend to use Strathmore's cards (105210) made for that medium. Great for adults and kids to create their own holiday cards, greeting cards, or invitations. Note: When I use an ink that may bleed if it gets wet, I will spray it with a fixative to help protect it. If I mail it, I wrap it in plastic and send it in another envelope just in case. The paper is 80-lb. and lightly textured (looks like an orange peel). Good all purpose paper and I like deckle edges. I would never use this in a color printer -- too much lint, ink doesn't seem to adhere well, and may cause printer problems if used too often. (Check with your printer's manufacturer first. Some printers can take card stock; some cannot.)*When (not if) I've done this, I usually can unbuckle the cards by letting the card dry so the colors don't smear, then put the card on a hard surface with a plain piece of paper on top of the painted side, then put a heavy book or two on top of that for a couple of days. Also, I've placed a warped card face down on a sheet of plain paper on top of a board, placed a dish towel over the card, and ironed it with a slightly warm (not hot) iron in a circular pattern for several minutes. Both have worked, but it's easier not to flood the paper to begin with. Easy to say, so hard to do at times. :-)

I bought this package of blank cards because I wanted to use them when I make my own cards. I wasn't in need of it immediately and didn't open the package until just recently. To my dismay, it included 100 envelopes and 67 pieces of card stationary. They shorted me 33 pieces!!!!!! I wrote to the manufacturer with no response. Shame on me for not checking the package within the return window but you would think that a name like Strathmore would be sure that their product was reliable. The material itself is beautiful but I am certainly not happy unless they rectify the situation and supply me with the 33 pieces of cards that was missing from the box!!Several days after I submitted my complaint I was contacted by a Customer Service Rep apologizing for the inconvenience and asking for my address so they could rectify the mistake. The FedEx package is on its way with the missing pieces of cardstock. I am very pleased with the response from Strathmore and will definitely purchase again. The product is beautiful.

I use these cards for sending formal or bereavement messages where an image might not be appropriate. They're elegant because the paper is of such high quality and I think they make an impression in their simplicity. I can't stress enough how impressive the paper is for the price.

I’ve used these cards with Sharpies, Derwent Inktense pencils, and wet watercolor. They’re not perfect for really wet media, but good enough to work. I made valentines and birthday cards with them and the recipients enjoyed them. I plan to use them much more in the future. They’re a good size for making art but fit easily in the mail.

I have used these cards for a number of classes over the years and find they are excellent for students to create holiday cards with either acrylics or watercolors. Was disappointed not to be able to find them in white, which is better for watercolor, so took a chance on these. They are listed as "ivory", which can mean almost anything. They are indeed a cream color, or ecru. The paper itself is a nice quality, but feels a little lighter than 90 lbs, perhaps 78 or 80. The envelopes are about half that weight. Yes, they are quite a bit thinner, but at least they are exactly the same color and same finish as the cards. The cards are scored so fold easily and the price is excellent. All in all, a good choice.

Greeting cards - the paper is of the best quality. Is there anyway that I can order envelopes for this product - during my early days of making cards - I made many errors HENCE an abundance of envelopes and not paper to print the cards. Love the product!! HELP eilstat

These cards are best for pen and ink. acrylic paint and not a lot of water. They are not meant for a lot of watercolor because they buckle if too wet. Really pretty and great quality paper.

I think these note cards and matching envelopes are stunning. Firstly, the deckle edge on both gives it a very expensive look. The quality is very good, almost on a par with the Lalo stationery from France. I'm not an artist, so I simply write a heading on the front of the fold-over card and a personal greeting inside. Add a sticker and your card is ready to go. I wouldn't *hesitate* to purchase this again!

I really enjoy painting etc on these cards, I have used them for a number of years, knowing that I will always fine them what I am looking for.

I actually purchased the wrong size of cards, however, I gave these to my daughter and she is using them to make little cards for friends and family
