Ordered this book as we subscribe to the Delayed Gratification magazine by the same authors. Really impressed with the massive content and attractive presentation - so many questions you have perhaps wondered about but many more that you didn’t realise you needed to know until now! This book will have you hooked and keep you turning the pages to find out the next fascinating fact. The only problem is that my fact-loving 10 year old is also addicted to reading it so getting my hands on it is more challenging! Am now ordering some more copies for Christmas presents.

I bought this book for a friend and ended up keeping it for myself! (I’ll get them one too…) It’s so full of fascinating facts and gorgeous data visualisations, it will keep me flicking through and finding brilliant new stories for months to come. Particularly love the stuff about space…

This book is such good fun. Page after page of answers to very clever, telling and amusing questions. The research boggles my mind, but I’ll now always know what’s better than sliced bread (The vaccine for penicillin only months later) and how to win an Oscar.

Love love love this book!Funny how, even as an adult, pictures and diagrams make a book so much more engaging than merely a list of facts. There are many pages in this book where a diagram paints a thousand words - things which couldn't really be explained as well in words. This book is not just presenting other books' facts in a visual form though. There are many pages in this book where the info is something that I've never seen anything like it in any other reference book. Very interesting for adults nad children alike!

We bought this recently and have loved flicking though, delving into different chapters and enlightening ourselves on so many different things. The infographics are fantastic and really grab the children's imagination and have spurred on quite a few conversations. The space chapter has been a highlight for our two boys who loved the rocket infographics. Will be buying more as gifts this Christmas.
