Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega 2X is one of the best omega-3 supplements I’ve tried. The EPA and DHA concentration is excellent, helping me improve my overall well-being and joint health. Plus, it doesn’t leave an unpleasant fishy aftertaste, which is a big plus. It’s easy to digest, and the quality of the product is evident from the first use. Highly recommended for those looking for a pure and effective omega-3!

Been using these for a few months replacing another brand.I believe this product is of superior quality. When you open the bottle, it has a subtle fragrance of ingredient. It doesn’t smell like plastic, chemicals or nasty fish.The results in my lab work were great. HDL (high density lipids) which is “good cholesterol” has been historically low. This product helped me drive my HDL above the threshold and achieve the best results in more than a decade.The other exciting factor about this product is the balance of EPA and DHA it contains. For the most part, EPA drives cardiovascular outcomes and DHA brain health and mood outcomes. This product has a higher mix of DHA than the average omega 3 product, meaning, you’re providing your brain with MORE nutrients than than average which is great according to recent scientific findings and expert recommendations.Pills are large but I’ve never had trouble swallowing if taken individually. A few times they broke in my mouth releasing a mild lemon taste, not like fish oil, which is known to be overpowering and nasty. Absolutely NO fish burps with this product.The ecommerce treatment for the product might be less than favorable. I get capsules compacted into a giant ball that is hard to break. I assume this is because of the excessive temperature the product is exposed to in warehouses and during transportation. To this product, it could be highly detrimental because of the type of nutrients it contain, somewhat fragile to high temperatures. That is something to consider and bear in mind.

good quality fish oil

I have no idea if fish oil works or not. I have been taking it for years and have tried several different brands. The Nordic Naturals have no fishy taste or smell. They cost more but I'm worth it right?? Last time I bought the Cosco brand because they were cheaper, but they really had a fishy smell and taste.

I was so excited to find this higher strength Omega 3. We were taking 2 per day of the 1280 mg strength, but a doctor said to up it to 3/day. So, when I found this, I felt it was a better option-- which it is, if you can tolerate it.Both my husband and myself took this daily until the bottle was nearly empty.I noticed that my husband was taking a generic Prilosec almost daily, and I,too, was having episodes of reflux of acid up into my throat!So, we stopped it for a few days and both of us had no more reflux issues.I was happy to be relieved of that, but disappointed, because I really wanted this dose to work.We are back to taking the Nordic Naturals 1280 mg strength, twice daily.NORDIC NATURALS is a 5 STAR BRAND to me, but we just couldn't tolerate the 2X dose.

As far as I know and am told by my doctor, these capsules are good for me. However, I have repeatedly encountered a problem with one or more capsules breaking in the bottle before delivery. The fluid leaks throughout the container, congeals, and then causes all of capsules to stick together in one mass. That mass is difficult to break apart. It's very irritating and time consuming trying to get them to break loose. Otherwise, this seems to be a good product and the capsules are easy to swallow and are odor and flavorless.This is an addition to my original review above. Unsure if the leaking capsules or some other problems causes the problems of the capsules sticking together, but it's a huge problem that now leads me to stop purchasing this product again. Most of the capsules in the last shipment are stuck together in a ball. In trying to get them out of the bottle and separate them, more capsules burst leaking the contents throughout the bottle. Those capsules that can be retrieved are covered in the liquid and continue to simply make a mess. The last bottle has nearly half of the bottle stuck together in this manner. With the price of this product I can no longer afford the time involved in trying to separate the capsules, or to lose half the bottle to the sticking problem. The quality of the product matters much less when one cannot even access the product.
