Looked Like it Would Last, But No
It’s hard to find good strong manual can openers that will hold up. We had one for 15 years that finally wore out, and the ones we found in local stores were cheaply made. That’s why we had high hopes for this one, as it appeared to be strong and well made. After less than a year of use, though, the gears started slipping. Now it barely functions.

Broke with minimal usage
I've had this product for about 7 months and would use it perhaps once every other week. From the get go I didn't realize that the spout didn't have an additional filter for grounds coming out as I poured into my coffee cup. That was something I was able to get over pretty easily.Just this past week as I was cleaning the press, a hole broke at the bottom of the glass.That being said I would not recommend this product. Spend the couple of extra bucks and get a higher quality french press.

Its actually starting to rust a little bit and I've only used it to open cans of kidney beans. Also, it opens the cans smoothly. I don't need to suffer from one dollar can openers anymore.After three months of using it, the rust becomes visible on it. I don't think I'll be using this for years.

Very disappointed.
Bought this can opener just over a month ago and now it's trash. Only used it a few times (like not even 10), and it's already rusted out. I bought this because I thought it would be different from the can openers you get from the supermarket. It's more of the same...just more than what you pay for at the market. Now I have to look for--and pay for--another can opener that really won't rust. Very disappointed.

I Cannot Recommend
Can opener does not work anymore and I just bought it a couple of months ago. I had an inexpensive opener before that worked well and lasted for years. I just bought the OXO Good Grips opener and it opens cans very easily. It also seems like it will last.
