underwhelming
It's not 4wd and it can't go up anything close to a 45° slope. It also gets stuck in anything but the shortest of grass so really this is best suited for use indoors. If it wasn't for the false advertising I could give it more stars as it would be great for around the home indoors.

Swift and nimble.
During the lockdown back in 2020, like most kids his age, my then 7-year-old would often get bored at home with little activity apart from watching the telly and playing Roblox on his iPad. Since then, he’s been completely addicted to the game. I’ve tried in vain to wean him off his iPad into other activities such as board games, colouring, sports and even encouraging him to take up a hobby, but have failed miserably. I then came across the 4DRC remote-controlled truck on Amazon and thought this might just do the trick to get him away from his iPad.The Truck itself is lightweight, the springy suspension is excellent when used outdoors, and it's able to get over most small obstacles. The rubber tyres give it some good grip on most terrains and it's fairly nimble. The truck comes with an additional battery pack and a USB charger (without a plug) A full charge can keep the wheels spinning for a decent amount of time. When running low, the first thing to drop is the steering control and then eventually the speed. But with the additional battery pack, you can continue having fun, so long as you have a mini screwdriver handy to open the battery compartment. The design of the truck is nothing new, and the remote control is similar to other RC controllers, which isn’t a bad thing as it's easy to control and offers good coverage. There are a few discrepancies though, firstly, I’ve seen the truck struggle on grassy terrain, which is perhaps due to the tyres which are small in size and don't have deep treads to give it that extra grip to push through. Also, it doesn't quite carry itself on slopes, it just doesn’t have the necessary power to maintain its momentum. But regardless, for the price, it does offer loads of fun for kids, and although it hasn't quite replaced the iPad, it has contributed to less screen time, which I count as a small victory.Recommended purchase. I give it 4 star

Just ok
This remote control car is just ok and in my opinion a little overpriced at £28.99 (price correct at the time of writing this review) although there is a 12% off voucher valid until 21st July 2022, so that brings the price down a littleThe car is designed to look like a sports car, and on laminate flooring it does go pretty fast, unfortunately not so fast on carpet and rougher terrain. The car isn't that sturdy either, so I'm not sure it'll hold up to many knocksThe car comes with rechargeable batteries that can run for up to 40 minutes each when fully charged, which is quite good. The remote control is quite large compared to some remote controlled cars we've had in the past, but it is easy to work and for little hands to holdIncluded in the box is the car, remote controller, 1 USB charging cable, 2 x rechargeable batteries and a screwdriver

Fun, fast RC car, but not a great turning circle!
Got a child? Do they like RC cars? This is the 4DRC Remote Control Truck 2.4GHz 25kmph 2WD, 100m Range, 2 x Rechargeable Batteries (car) 40 Mins Battery Life Each with USB Charger, in Green. Requires 2 x AA Batteries (remote).Unboxing this car is good, minimal packaging of cardboard box / plastic tray and you simply put both sets of batteries in remote n car. Put the spare set on charge ASAP (you will see why soon, we'll, very soon), turn on car and remote, then you are good to go. The remote is a simple trigger and wheel design, which is responsive. It is very fast, and fun. It is only 2 wheel rear drive so it struggles on certain terrains, handles inclines OK, but around the house it is ace. Set up jumps, chase the dog or try to trip Mum up. But just as the fun is getting good, the car dies. It claims each battery is 40 mins, it is realistically about 30 mins. So best get that spare battery and charge this one up! So after another 30 mins, it's dead and the battery ain't charged. This is an issue, especially if you have impatient kids. When you are playing it is OK, the steering ain't that great, as it has the turning circle of a lorry. It is also 2WD not 4WD as per description on website. That can be an issue around the house, but it IS a £30 RC car, so a budget one in theory.Overall I'd recommend this car if you get on offer, it is really fast, just cannot turn very sharp unless you got gravel to skid on. Oh and half an hour battery life between charges, meh.

Stalling
Failing to get into gear, I can't believe that this car would cause such disappointment to my child. When its not dodgy and awkward battery covers its a complete inertia to even move an inch. Let's hope that this model is not an example of what to expect.
