Carlson Pro Pets Wall Mount Royal Pet Door, X-Large

After only 2 weeks the frame broke apart on one of the doors and now the dog door can no longer be used. Of course this happened during a particularly cold week. I can't use the heater in the dog house now and the dogs are exposed to freezing temperatures. I am extremely disappointed as I spent $640 on this product and it lasted only 2 weeks. I'm contacting Amazon to see what can be done and will update this review with their response. I will also take and upload additional photos in the morning as it was dark when this one was taken and therefore difficult to see the damage.

The door itself is amazing--except that the pre-drilled holes on the inside do not match up with the ones on the outside... that is confusing. It would leave unused holes on the outside to potentially allow water entry, which is not good. Maybe the instructions would help, you say? Well, the other major disappointment is that there is NO instructions on how to install this model of door anywhere. That is frustrating. Luckily my husband is an engineer and can manage challenges like this.

After having it installed by my carpenter, it lasted 3 months. Only 2 dogs use it and today, in mild weather, the hinges broke on one of the door flaps. I found the flap lying on the ground. I have bought a similar dog door from Orvis which is used much more and it works perfectly. This one is a complete waste of a lot of money.

Terrible door lasted less than 1 month and the door now stays open with the wind. DON'T BUY THIS CRAP!!!!
