Super-Villain Smackdown! (You Choose Stories: Batman)

My 9 year old nephew is a huge fan of these "You Choose" stories - I got him two of the Scooby Doo series and thought I would try the Batman titles - and he loves them as well. It's sort of like getting 5 or 6 books for the price of one - he seems to be completely engrossed in these. I hope they do more soon!

This is a great fiction book where you get to choose the ending. There are 10 possible endings. In one version of this story, Batman tries to find a missing wrestler named Bruiser. Batman finds Bruiser robbing a bank but it doesn’t make sense. Bruiser escapes and Batman determines to figure out why the wrestler turned bad. In another version of the story, Batman discovers Bane is behind the wrestler’s bad behavior. Bane is an assassin. He tries to create an army of bad guys. Batman needs to stop Bane. On most of the pages, you get to decide what happens next. You can change the story. I like to be in charge of the story. I have read chapter books like this before. I give this book five stars. I recommend it for children who like chapter books with superheroes and lots of adventure. I have read it several times and it is fun to see how the story changes when I pick different endings.
