Hemorrhoid flare from hell... Seriously debilitating, but urgent care visit ultimately avoided!
It was delivered quickly and customer service was quick to respond to my inquiry regarding whether my particular body type/ frame was better suited for the standard vs. large size as there is no guidance in the main description. Despite the rep suggesting to stick with the standard size based on the stats I gave, I had already ordered a large and it works like a charm. For reference, I’m 6’3” and 188 lbs but more of a medium body frame with a very male/android pelvis. No wide set hips for me! It does perform what it claims to do (i.e. relieve pressure off the inflamed, tender area), but I’m unsure just how ergonomic donut pillows are in general... I mean, it almost seems counterintuitive that you want to increase blood flow to the area since this exact mechanism in the setting of increased venous pressure created the hemorrhoid to begin with, but I digress. The cushion is comfy—it beats sitting directly on the inflamed tissue aggravating the issue—and I like the black mesh pillow cover as it allows continuous air circulation or at least never gets hot and sticky down there because the fabric can’t breathe. Added bonus: there’s a small handle embroidered into the mesh cover fabric making it super simple to carry on person AND it came with an external pillow bag with handles, albeit flimsy and easily torn to shreds, which holds the entire pillow, too! Perhaps I overlooked these features in the product description, but these minor details surprised me in a good way! Honestly, with the fabric handle built in the black mesh cover itself, I’m more inclined to use the additional carrying bag to tote around an actual pillow like one that’s used for sleep while supporting my head and neck. Ha! And if that wasn’t enough, the seller is sending yet ANOTHER gift just as a thank you for purchasing this fantastic Bonmedico product!

Most comfortable chair cushion I've purchased--& I've purchased a lot. Gives new life to old chairs!
Love it! The seat of my refurbished Herman Miller had gone flat, and I didn't want to the expense of buying a new one--even a refurbished one is pricey--and with refurbished, you never know the quality you will get. I bought one refurbished Herman Miller Ambi for my office, and it's seriously the most comfortable chair I've ever had, even five years later (though I only spend 10 hours per week in my office). But the refurbed HM I bought for home is now flat-bottomed after just a couple of years. SO seat cushion is the answer. This one is great--especially compared to the others I've tried. The size is just right. It nearly covers the whole chair. It's not too thick--the runner up cushion is like 4-inches thick, and it's comfy, but it's too tall to be practical unless your chair will lower substantially (product number: B01MRWWDUG). Others were too firm (TanYoo product number: B07P85JB7G) or too sweaty (Wondergel aka Purple product number: B01MCWVVCN). Before this one, I was just using some regular dining chair pads from Costco, which were fine but they eventually flatten out too. This one was Goldilocks JUST RIGHT. I've had it for weeks now, and my ONLY complaint is that when I sit on it in a nighty that doesn't cover my butt when I sit, the fabric is a little uncomfy. Easily resolved: put it in a pillowcase. Now it even looks a little more fashionable, and I have another washable layer to keep it fresh. PROS - Super comfy! Gives new life to flat-bottomed chairs. - Removable fabric case can be washed. - Case has handle for carrying, lol. - Memory foam so it won't go flat over time. Why aren't chair seats memory foam by now already, huh? - Just the right size. CON - seat case fabric is ever so slightly scratchy on bare skin. Put it in a regular pillowcase if it bothers you. - that is literally the only con.

This Pillow Is A Winner!
I purchased a Bonmedico Orthopedic pillow for a family member. He drives a lot of miles every week and recently had a flare up of painful hemorrhoids. I shopped a lot of cushions/pillows and read way too many customer reviews. Finally, this pillow seemed to be the right one. I bought a size large (6'2," 170 pounds) and it fits. When the pillow arrived, I inspected it and was impressed. The memory foam/gel is overall very firm and comfortable. It provides a lot of support and that feels good. The forward and backward cutouts in the pillow apparently cause a distribution of weight that depressurizes the tailbone. My family member used it 2-4 hours p/day, five days a week for couple of weeks. Yesterday he informed me that the pillow gave him immediate relief and he had rapid improvement of his condition. His pain has almost completely subsided and his hemorrhoids are nearly healed. This pillow was an inexpensive and great investment. I am pleased that something so small made a huge difference in his life.

Well-made and effective
Good construction, amply sized, and provides a comfortable level of support. Instantly alleviated a good portion of low back pain owing to slumped posture, (hip/pelvis tilt) that, despite being physically fit, can result from hours of sitting in desk chair. To suit the slightly downward-tipping seat, (this particular desk chair seat is deep and angles downward towards the back of the chair like some car seats), I place the wedge further forward; the narrow end of the wedge meets the front edge of the chair seat; the very opposite, thickest end of the wedge is directly under tailbone. The tailbone placement is what matters, (for me). With the thicker end of the wedge directly under tailbone, the tilt is subtle. Tending to think that a higher-raked wedge or one with more stiffness, could possibly exceed the needed adjustment and cause other off-set issues. The next level of support would be padding for lumbar and thoracic which attaches to the seat back, which I believe this company also makes. Then the rest of the spine can remain straight and supported as well. Thanks very much!!

Very Soft Seat Cushion!
This Orthopedic Seat Cushion has a very soft memory foam with cool gel for extra comfort. It's really a matter of what your preference is? The only reason I'm giving this seat cushion 3 stars is because it is too soft for me. When I sit on this cushion it almost goes totally flat. I'm sort of a big guy around 250 pounds. My preference is for a more firm memory foam. I do own a Kieba Coccyx Seat Cushion Cool Gel Memory Foam also sold here at AMAZON.COM, which is identical to this seat cushion made by Bonstato Inc. The only difference is the Kieba is way more firm and doesn't go flat. Both seat cushions are comfortable and cost about the same price. If you like SOFT choose this one & if you like FIRM choose the Kieba. I only purchased this seat cushion because I needed a second one & I thought it would be just like the Kieba seat cushion. So now I have a choice between soft & firm. I hope this review helps you choose.

5 Star Cushion for Tailbone/Sciatica!
I have 2 herniated discs and sciatica. I'm currently 7 months pregnant and have been experiencing terrible tailbone pain since my first trimester. I have tried 2 other medically-indicated chair cushions prior to this one and they both did nothing to relieve the pain. This cushion is an absolute miracle! I was overweight before my pregnancy and have gained a bit since, so I was worried about it having enough firmness to support my extra weight, but enough cushion to be comfortable. This product has been AMAZING! Just the right amount of support and comfort to ease my tailbone pain and allow me to sit comfortably enough to live daily life, like eating a meal at the table, playing a board game or sitting out on the deck in the sun. I highly recommend this product for anyone experiencing tailbone or sciatic pain! Well-made, durable, easy to clean and stays in place too!

The average person will spend around 18 years of their adult life sitting. Make it comfortable with this.
DIMENSIONS (My Measurements): 19.5 inches wide / 14.25 inches depth (9.5 inches not including the tailbone gap) / 3.25 inches height (thickness) FEATURES: • Mesh cover (machine washable) • Gel and memory foam hybrid • Color - Black • Non-slip bottom • Side handle for carrying THE REVIEW: • Versatile, as it’s able to fit nicely on my large gaming chair, smaller guest chair, and even car seat. Probably has a lot of other uses, but personally, I wouldn’t go as far as taking it on a plane or something like that - it’s a bit too bulky to lug around. • Lots of support and comfort that makes long hours of sitting more comfortable • The gel in the inside of the memory foam coupled with the mesh outer cover keeps my behind from getting too hot. I definitely prefer this combination over complete memory with those velvet covers. Velvet is super comfortable, but tends to get dirty easily. Whether I’m coming out of the shower completely clean or out of the gym covered in sweat, I want to make sure that chair has good breathability and therefore, a higher degree hygienics. The cover is machine washable too! • The non-slip bottom can eventually slip a little, but I only find this went sitting for long periods of time while shifting my seating here and there • The design is minimal and the black color makes it blend well especially if you have a black chair. I noticed that a lot of seat cushions have their branding on the top of the pillow (which I don’t like). Bonmedico courteously places their brand on a small tag on the bottom corner. • The cushion is pretty thick so expect to get around 2 inches of extra height when sitting. Overall a great product. Highly recommended.

FALSE ADVERTISING, Pillow NOT AS DESCRIBED - bonmedico/bonstato is a DECEPTIVE COMPANY!
I am from the UK and I had purchased this exact pillow on the UK amazon after having tried countless other seat cushions to no avail, the pillow I received in the UK from bon medico was exactly as advertised. It had a breathable other cover, it has a large wide hole in the centre that gave me ample space to rest my coccyx bone comfortably at different angles and relieve the pain I usually have. As advertised it was made from actual memory foam but it was thick enough to support my weight (240-270lb) without compressing down to a pancake, it still gave me support and that memory foam cushioning. To put it simply it was perfect and I've been using it for years. AS FOR THIS PILLOW ON AMAZON.COM, THINGS COULDN'T BE MORE DIFFERENT. So let me explain, I've been visiting my fiancee in the US for a few months and I needed a similar ring pillow, to my surprise I was glad to find bonmedico supposedly selling the same exact ring pillow on amazon.com with the same advertised memory foam, the exact same design and shape with the exception of the outer covering which looks like some mesh. So having trusted them before, and their product being as advertised on amazon.co.uk I pulled the trigger and bought this one in the USA. Boy was I mistaken. The bonmedico pillow from Amazon.com IS NOT MEMORY FOAM. I've did all manner of tests to it, it has no memory foam properties whatsoever - it's a cheap, VERY CHEAP dense, hard foam with no give whatsoever. You want some give in a pillow (without it pancaking), and support and that's what my UK one gave, THIS ONE is tantamount to sitting on a ring of plastic just about. So the claim that this is made from memory foam is a PURE LIE, it's nothing of the sort. Secondly, the mesh covering on the outer is extremely cheap and plastic feeling... it makes your cheeks sweat and has the added perk of staining anything you put it on... permanently. How lovely. Not at all like the fabric covering the UK one came with. It may look like my UK one, but in comparison it's a ripoff lookalike. I contacted bonmedico/bonstato and their reply was poor. Their explanation was that this was a supposed mistake and the differences were down to production line issues. Bull crap. They made a pillow as advertised, racked up good reviews then decided to squeeze more money out of customers and switched out the materials for cheaper alternatives to milk/fool their customers even more. They offered a 10% discount or return it to amazon during the coronavirus pandemic. Pfft. Avoid this pillow and this company like the plague. Deceptive people.
