Mandoline Slicer - Stainless Steel Food Slicer With Adjustable Julienne Blade System - Best Fruit, Potato & Vegetable Cutter

The thickness of what you're cutting is inconsistent across the blade on thin slices (say potato chips) due to the top metal piece not sitting evenly on the adjusting wheel. As you go thicker (to the very thickest) it's less noticeable. Maybe I just got a defective unit. Customer service agreed to send a replacement Mandoline. I'll update when the new device arrives.I did get a replacement Mandoline.. great customer service.. New Mandoline works great.

I like how good it cuts and works except the holder. When you push like a potatoes up and down slicing it then it gets down close to the end it's hard to cut. I actually cut two of the little plastic guides of the holder. If they would have a holder that was wider and moved up and down the rails with springs on them so that it goes in and out with the depth of what your slicing to make it safer and quicker. That way you have a guide to go up and down the metal and the holder edges go up and down with the fruit or potatoes or etc height wise and steady it. They would not have change the slicer just improve the holder

I’ve been looking for a mandolin slicer for a long time and im really pleases wit this one. There are adjustable settings for different width of slices and a really handy veg holder which has meant I haven’t sliced my fingers or nails since getting it. Can be used for duphinoise potatoes as well as slicing cucumber and other veggies. It comes practically assembled and is easy to use and clean. Really good value for money and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys cooking but hates chopping!!!

We used it for the first time today. I worked just as we expected. It was simple, but the only guide was on the back of the box. A pamphlet of instructions to store with the mandolin would be helpful. I did not notice in the product description that the slicer increments were in millimeters, not inches. So we had to look up conversions and guess a little.

This thing was dull right out of the box. I liked the size and on board adjustments as well as the stands, which was the reason I chose this model. However this just crushed anything I ran across it. I'll have to find another one, this is getting returned. UPDATE- I received a replacement from the manufacturer. The new one cuts just fine. Much better!

This slicer work great! I had been looking for a replacement to one I had purchased a long time ago on a shopping channel. This fits the bill. Love that it has the adjustment knob on the side - easy to dial in. It's super sharp so protect your fingers. Works so well I wasn't sure if it was cutting my potatoes at first. May purchase an additional slicer for my camper.

The operation of the wheel when turning seems really rough. There are no instructions other than the outside of the box, which doesn't tell you much. I put the wheel in the only way it can go - lined up with OUT. When I try to turn to the different julienne settings it will barely turn and the bar with the blades gets jammed at an angle - so the width of the opening to make slices is uneven.Am I missing something about how to use it?

This is a second purchase of this model of slicer. First one was two weeks ago. I am delighted with it. I've sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, onions etcetera to perfection. Even juilianed potatoes for French fries. This second one I am buying as a gift for my brother.
