Torn gasket
Packaging should be changed filter is good looks good but the gasket was ripped from being folded multiple times rendering it useless and a waste of money

Perfect!
Presumably I have a pump that's getting worn out. After changing fluid and installing an OEM filter I had a cold start "whine". Since less filtration is offered by this type of filter to achieve improved oil flow and pressure the problem is fixed for now. Whether this trans filter or engine oil filters you must realize that racing type filters are focused on improved flow while sacrificing filtration of smaller particles.I used it in a 1979 Chevy C10 with about 165,000 miles that began life with a dreaded Olds division diesel and nearly 20 years ago I dropped in a 403 cid Olds gas engine. The transmission has never been rebuilt! In fact other than replacing the front seal and vacuum modulator when changing the engine it's only had somewhat neglectful filter and fluid changes, and a rear seal when rebuilding the drive shaft. So in my case I expect the trans to need a full rebuild in the not-so-distant future. In the meanwhile it now sounds great, shifts great, and stands as a testimony to the greatness of American engineering in the now-distant past! I'm a retired mechanic and my other vehicle is a '78 Impala!

Cant seem to find on shelves in regular parts store
This is a good high flow filter using a screen instead of paper or other media for filter. Very important differance when using in a race application or where you dont want to risk fluid flow.

Way better flow than stock
Something that local stores don't have. Most don't realize the restriction stock filters have only to shorten the life of the trany
