The germinated In 6 days
They germinated 100 percent in 6 days. Great seeds. UPDATE: Nice big leaves.

This tastes just like Korean perilla leaves!
I planted five of these seeds, and every single one sprouted! I used to have trouble buying just the right amount of perilla leaves. I often had to freeze most of them because I couldn’t use them up in time. Now, I can simply harvest as many fresh leaves as I need for cooking, and I’m really happy about that. The germination rate is excellent, and the fragrance of the perilla is wonderful. The plants are growing strong and healthy, even though this is my very first time growing them. Overall, I’m very satisfied and highly recommend these seeds!

probably 25% of geminating rate, not 85%.
Germinating rate: 85% is a lie. I love Korean sesame leaves so I sowed the entire bag widely in May this year - I purchased the seeds September in 2024 and kept in the dark place in the basement. I spread the seeds well, however out of 200 seeds, I've gotten less than 50 stems. Should've waited until I visited back Korea to get a cheap bag from a local store which is 800 seeds for less than a buck.

It's Shiso!
Loved it! It's hard to get shiso around here so I wanted to try my hand at growing it. They grew really quickly from the seeds, and taste so nice!

What Gives?
I’ve tried sprouting these seeds twice and a friend tried once as well. None sprouted for me and of about ten seeds, my friend had one come up. I question the quality of the seeds.

Sprouted!!!
I followed the instructions to soak the seeds for 24 hours and planted in a sunny spot. After 6 days the seeds sprouted! Hopefully they will grow before the season ends.

fail
Despite my years of planting experience and following every step precisely, this seed failed to sprout, even during the initial germination process. I rate this zero out of ten.
