Donkerdrif [Dark Drive]

Fantastic book! Just what we came to expect from Deon Meyer. The story is fast paced and the relationship between Griessel and Cupido develops to show more trust between them. The cliffhanger at the end has me hoping that the next book will be released soon.

My first Deon Meyer book and 'nogal' in Afrikaans. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, finished it chop chop because it was a bit of a compulsive read. I would have preferred a different ending but that is just my opinion. Will most definitely buy and read more from this author going forward.

This is another excellent Deon Meyer book. Realistic, relevant, and well written. Worst part is that we now have to wait another year or two for another one...

Brilliant as always! Excellent storylines. Characters that we know and have grown to love. Bennie, Vaughn and Mbali are part of the colourful South African family.

As always I couldn’t wait for the English book to come out so I read the Afrikaans version. Super insight into the workings of the South African Police Service’s pockets of excellence

Deon Meyer gets better practically with each new book. Donkerdrif is very well thought out and meticulously edited. A very measured book in everything, leaves you wanting more. The best Afrikaans writer in the genre for me.

Another excellent book written by Deon Meyer. I just love the fine balance between fiction and reality. He integrates a lot of our daily South African experiences into his books.

No one in the world did for Afrikaans what Deon Meyer did. Outstanding! Can't wait for the next book. A must read for any crime reader.

I loved this book like all Deon Meyer’s Bennie Griessel novels. I just wish he would write the next one already!
