I first saw Bruce Fife at a conference. I was impressed by his clear and articulate manner. This book offers the same easy to assimilate information. He takes away the mystery of Arthritis and directs us to healing through whole nourishing foods. A great resource. I have offered it as support to many suffering from Arthritis..

Eye Opening!
If you have any type of arthritis you should get this book. I have arthritis in my family and found that what this man points out is true and he proves it with scientific evidence that has been known for a long time by many famous and well respected doctors. This book will excite you and probably make you mad at the same time that this info has been out there for a long time and is overlooked by many in the health profession. I noticed a difference in my pain after a few days trying his recommendations and to be honest i have tried many supplements for osteoarthritis and nothing worked as good as this. Keep up the good work Dr Fife. A+

Lots of good ideas but should be adopted with caution
In The New Arthritis Cure Dr. Bruce Fife claims that there is a cure for arthritis and fibromyalgia. He says that doctors say there is no cure because they do not know the cause of this debilitating disease. Dr. Fife claims that the various forms of arthritis are primarily caused by microorganisms that invade joints and cause inflammation. These infections can come from a variety of sources but the mouth is a leading location.Dr. Fife then proposes seven steps to cure or at least significantly reduce arthritis. These steps and my assessment of them include:1. Oil pulling, which involves swishing some oil, and Dr. Fife recommends coconut oil, in your mouth for 15-20 minutes once or twice a day, preferably on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. There is no scientific study to confirm the benefits of oil pulling. There is anecdotal data and my dentist says he has some patients that use it. Since there are no negative side effects the only negatives are the cost of the oil and the time and effort involved. I have decided to try it. It is best to use organic virgin coconut oil.2. Taking three or four tablespoons of coconut oil a day. Coconut oil is a saturated fat. Dr. Fife says that it is healthier than unsaturated fats. But there is a mountain of scientific evidence that such is not the case. Plus the amount involved is some 500 calories. I really do not see the benefit here.3. Consume a diet of whole, natural foods, especially vegetables and fruits, but also whole grains and meat and other animal products. Dr. Fife defines such foods as those that are unprocessed. Food that comes in packages clearly do not meet this standard. An apple is a whole natural food; apple pie is not. I agree with Dr. Fife regarding vegetables, fruits and whole grains, but not to the extent of eating animal products, especially those raised in the United States. Beef and chicken, for example, are raised in artificial ways and fed with various additives. Even grass fed beef and free-range chicken are suspect. Moreover such products are very expensive. Also I do not see whole milk as healthier than non-fat as Dr. Fife does.4. Take a supplement of glucosamine (1500 mg) and chondroitin (1200mg). Dr. Fife cites people who have benefited from this practice but the scientific evidence is mixed. Since there are no side effects the only negative is the cost of taking something that may not work. The brand recommended by my doctor is Cosamin DS, which can be purchased on Amazon.com.5. Engage in regular exercise, avoiding activities that put a lot of stress on your joints such as running and strenuous sports. This point is the least controversial. Exercise does reduce arthritic pain but of course is not a cure.6. Lose weight if you are overweight. Again not much controversy here.7. Calm inflammation by consuming certain products such as omega 3s, turmeric, ginger, leafy green vegetables, fish and eggs. Egg yolks can be problematic but most of these items are worth utilizing.Dr. Fife sums up the book with a seven day dietary challenge and provides contact information including his website and email address. In sum there is a lot of good ideas in this book. Dr. Fife is the president of the Coconut Research Center and has an obvious bias toward the use of coconut oil. Some of his recommendations are questionable, but overall it is well worth reading this book if you have arthritis and even if you do not.

The Arthritis Cure, Health, and the Important hidden link to the Toot
During my life I've read many books concerning health and thereby what to eat. And especial during the last 30 - 40 years we from the officials have been told what to eat, and again and again we have got changing and misinformation's concerning the foot, and for example also about the cholesterol. And the final result is that people now are fatter than ever before.And for example until around 15 years ago we were told that it was a bad thing to eat coconut or drink coconut oil; and still I see doctors, here in Chiang Mai, keep on telling this to their patients even though science have shown that this is totally wrong, and instead that coconut even is the best, and most health foot we can get. And sailors already discovered this 300 years ago when they came to islands in the Eastern Ocean where people nearly only were eating coconut, and being extremely healthy.Since my wife nearly one year ago started getting pain in her hands, and the fingers being insensibly, and therefore starting visiting doctors, I started buying books concerning joints, arthritis, and rheumatism.This book is actual the number 5 of the books written by Dr. Bruce File which I during the last 4 years have been reading, but actual the one of these which has put the highest remarks in me. For example I during many years have known about Weston A. Prince, DDS, and his book "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration", of which I received a copy, 2 weeks ago, before the book from Fife, but not yet have been reading. But newer before reading "The New Arthritis Cure" did I know anything about Prince earlier having written much about his research results after in rabbits by surgery having implanted the bad tooth from persons. And by reading about this we are getting many interesting cases - for example about the person for whom the secret thereby was discovered that he 20 years earlier had gonorrhea - and thereby further understanding the importance concerning the toot health, because bacteria's may hide in the toot during the rest our life.Besides the many cases connected to the toot we also are getting many other interesting cases, as for example on side 31 we learn about a 2 month old infant girl who was being treated for severe bacterial diarrheas. And then as the result, after have been though antibiotic therapy, ended with having osteoarthritis in both of her knees. Interesting to learn also because earlier we always were told that osteoarthritis we in no way could get before we were more than 60 years old.Among other we starting on the side 35 are getting 3 sides under "Sting That Pain Away" about how and why, the sting from the bee can work against arthritis. And actual my wife, yesterday when working in the garden, in one finger, was hit by an insect, and getting much pain, but shortly after no longer having any pain this finger, opposite to the rest of the fingers in which she now soon during one year have had arthritis pain. 6 years ago I was hit in a shoulder by an equal Thailand insect and then for fours hours having much pain.And for example on side 148 we read about how the Dr. Ludwig W. Blau by an accident in the 1940s discovered how cherries solved his gout problem.I the book my interest also was caught by the trampoline, the mini-tramp, which we start reading about on the side 128, and are getting pictures of on the sides 129 and 130. I have not yet here in Thailand met trampolines, but I will start searching and asking about such one, equal to the one in the book, while showing the pictures in the book. Especially also as I can't use the running machine (bought in Thailand) which we have in the gymnastic room, witch course frictions shocks for me, being an European person on only 84 km, 186 pound, even though it gets the correct oil.While reading this book, 2 days ago I started using virgin coconut oil for cleaning my mouth, and the toot. My wife won't try she thinks that only surgery can help, even though I've told her about cases where it didn't help, and she by her self also knows of persons for whom it didn't help.But as the finishing remark, we in the book besides getting the truth about how good the coconut and coconut oil actual are, we also learn how important the toot health is, and speculate on is if we are getting arthritis problem.
