Something different, and got at a great price!

The game is a present so I am not aware of the nature of the game but as the participants enjoy scrabble I thought this would be a fun alternative take on it.

Granddaughter loves it

We were really pleased with this gift a few girls of 10 and 12 y old 🎁 The price was good too :)

This is basically standard Scrabble with the additional gimmick that each player can set hidden "traps" on the double and triple score squares which are then triggered if another player uses that square. The traps basically apply (relatively small) modifiers to the score of the players who set and triggered the trap. It's a nice enough idea, but it really doesn't add much to the game; I'd guess most people will try it once or twice and then go back to just playing regular Scrabble, which this set is perfectly adequate for.Scrabble has been around for almost a century now; I'd imagine this variant will sink without trace within a year or so. An entertaining diversion for a game every now and then, but nothing revolutionary.

Scrabble spiced up! Just the ticket!

It's nice to have the option to spice up the game, however, we do prefer playing regular Scrabble on this board. The rules of the trap tiles can be overwhelming at time, and create an entirely different game dynamic.
