I've bought this and personally tested it to be compatible with the Commodore 64. Works great. Best on a smaller 5:4 aspect ratio monitor. Tested on a Dell 1914 monitor.

I have an old Bose receiver and a new TV that does not carry component ports. That's why I bought this adapter. I disregarded the pamphlet that came with the converter and figured I was savvy enough that even a caveman could figure it out. Well I failed the IQ test. This is powered by your USB port even though it goes to your HDMI port. The pamphlet clearly shows you that. I should have read it first. Once installed and powered up it worked perfectly. So save yourself some aggravation and read the pamphlet first unless you're tech savvy. ps There is a tiny switch on the line itself that gives you a choice of 720P OR 1080p resolution. It's easy to not notice it. But it is working beautifully now after a shaky start. Happy with product.

It works fine. But I couldn't tell from 720p/1080p... really doubt that function. Not too hard to use. Powered by USB.

The converter works well to take older RCA connections and integrate them into HDMI format. Both video and audio signals are output to my new TV via HDMI input as hoped. It serves as a great bridge of technologies keeping my older player equipment functional and playing through newer TVs.

The device was simple to use and had a nice picture. No problems were encountered.

I bought this to connect an old S-VHS VCR to a new 4K LCD TV so I could watch some old tapes. It is easy to hook up, and the picture quality is pretty good, but it's the wrong shape and there is no way to change it. VHS tapes are expected to be played on a 4:3 format screen and modern TVs are 16:9. To show the old tapes properly the picture should be in 4:3 format with black bars to the left and right or the top and bottom cropped. I played with the settings on my TV to change the shape, but it was never quite right.

Works for recording SVHS to computer (via QuickTime app)!

Very disappointed. Terrible video quality. Tried both 720P & 1080P. Both looked the same - Bad. Colors were off. Video appeared Dim, Red and blotchy and was very grainy. Even the verticle and horizontal hold was shakey. I would not recommend.

I specifically ordered this to output my SNES and my GameCube to my projector, now the unit DID include an adapter to convert the Male a/v cables into Female but the S-video adapter was not included. I’m sure if I had a device that specifically output in s-video it would work but I will have to settle for lame old yellow cable.
