Very Good, Not Great for One Annoying Reason
Love the teapot, but was disappointed that the silicone protector on the finger level was completely off when the teapot arrived. I had to to put it back on myself. It still slips, and I have to keep pushing it onto the finger grip. The pot itself is excellent. Just this one annoying flaw.

Seems to be the best one available without spending a fortune.
We've had it for a (whopping) week, so here are my initial impressions: Very nice, and well worth $40! The broad bottom heats quickly on our gas range. The straight spout doesn't have an internal lip where water lingers, so it won't rust like others. The whistle isn't very loud, but plenty if you're not asleep on the couch. The trigger works well. The loop handle isn't a perfect shape, but is perfectly functional, and looks great. The chrome finish is good, and should be easier to keep clean than a "toothier" brushed finish. We have insanely hard water, so the large-ish lid opening will help as we try to keep the lime at bay.Our previous teakettle was a fancy-schmancy $300 one from Williams-Sonoma, and it sure wasn't 10x better!!

One of My Favorite Purchases!
I bought this after doing A LOT of research for a kettle that's stainless steel and will last me for a very long time. I use this multiple times per day for boiling water for coffee/tea, instant soups, oatmeals, soaking rice noodles, etc. I've had it for a long time already and no signs of rust or any issues. Works great every time I need it, the handle is comfortable, etc. An added bonus is that I get to keep it for my future van life since I will have a True Induction stove top and it requires the use of items that are made of magnetic materials :)

wonderful teapot! wonderful investment!
Only two days and I've fallen in love with this tea kettle :-). I'm an inveterate tea drinker, which means that I run through tea kettles at a faster-than-normal rate. I usually leave the spout open, and then boil the kettle dry. Or I boil the kettle dry because I can't hear the whistle. Or I burn the kettle on the stove because the gas flame underneath is wider than the base and it scorches the sides. Or I burn my hand when I try to pour the thing. Those four issues here are non-issues: (1) you can't leave the spout open, so you can't boil it dry; (2) the whistle is pretty strong, so I can hear it from a distance; (3) the base of the kettle is wide, so you can't burn the sides; (4) and the handle and spout handle are cool to handle. Since nothing is absolutely perfect, let me say that the only tiny drawback I see is that the kettle is a little heavier than I was expecting. But that's fine with me. It's also beautiful-looking on my stove.

It's got a good hefty weight to it and the silicone handles ensure ...
Disappointingly, my Le Creuset whistling tea kettle broke down over only 2 years of use. Time for a new whistling kettle. This shipped really fast- I had it in 2 days! It has a large flat bottom, so the surface area heats up rapidly. It's got a good hefty weight to it and the silicone handles ensure that I don't need a potholder to pick it up when it's hot. The whistle works loud and clear. I hope to have this for a very long time.

Pretty teakettle
This teakettle is a shiny bright, sturdy kettle. I like that I don't burn my fingers opening the spout after the water boils. Only negative - it does not whistle very loudly.

Nice enough but lid doesn't fit so no whistle. ..
It is a fine vessel for holding and boiling water. However, the lid doesn't fit right, so it doesn't whistle when the water boils. I bought it because I often leave water boiling on the stove while I get distracted rearranging my linen closet. So...boo hiss that the thing doesn't whistle. But it is nice looking and easy to clean. I probably should have returned it for another one, but I have to arrange the cans in my pantry in alphabetical order.

wow, now that's a Tea Pot
I'm a little tea pot, short and stout....This think is not small, but it is stout. Heavy duty.Pros-Heavy base, making this the quietest teapot I've ever owned. I don't hear a thing until the whistle blowsWell made. I can actually disassemble part of it for cleaning. Nice polished finish tooIt's a beautyConsI didn't realize how big it was until I set it on my stove. Wow. It actually covers the big electric element.
