I just received a fly rod as a retirement present from my department. A local fly fishing expert, Joe Humphreys, recommended nymphs for novices such as myself as 90% of feeding takes place below the surface. And so, I bought this collection. Today I went to a local lake merely to practice casting and low and behold I ended up catching 4 good size crappies and 3 good sized bluegills on the first brownish nymph I selected. It was well made and held up well for all seven fish and the results speak for themselves. My "technique" was to cast into the heavy wind and let the line act as a sail to drag the lure toward shore.

Really dissapointed !!! these flies cam FROM CHINA with no labeling like you see in the picture. I have no idea whats what. What a absolute deception. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Good quality

I haven't had a chance to fish with these yet but I can say that they are made really well and of excellent quality. I expect they will not disappoint. Much better quality and more natural looking than most flies you'd find on the shelf in the sporting goods section.

This is the best deal I've found. This has everything you need to start nymph fishing. Great value for money.
