This hakama is perfect. It has the updated plastic tab to make tying in the back easier.The hakama is the correct size and proportion for traditional use in martial arts and for folding to put away. They are sturdy and thick, and very well made.Pictured here, I'm wearing kyohan leg wraps to tie down the pant legs for traveling purposes. The creases are very well pressed and properly folded.If you need a hakama for kendo, iaido, aikido, or even cosplay, then this is it. If you go cheaper on the price, you'll end up with thinner materials that won't hold a crease and would be of terrible quality.It fits true to size, per the guidelines provided.The hakama ties are thick and can hold a katana for light use, without requiring a separate belt underneath to carry the sword.

Great product, very happy with purchase and price. feels well made and comfortable to wear. Flows well during my sword form. Many complements on how it looks. Feels like it will last a long time, nice heavy duty material, not flimsy. Can recommend this product for anyone looking for a very reasonably priced quality hakkima. I am 5'8" and a thin 155 lbs, I purchase the M 170 and fit perfectly

I've seen other hakamas in videos on youtube, and the belt they have on their hakama looks a lot smoother, like a sash. You sadly won't get that with this product, but it still looks good for sure.

The biggest issue I've run into with these is sizing- I'm 175cm tall and 57kg but L was too big, I ordered M (170cm) but it needs to be tied high, so I think should've chosen S. Still, they're made well for hours of training but I keep in mind they are cotton, can fade and shrink so be mindful. Also, it takes some practice how to fold them without wrinkling. Overall, good buy!

Great material and well constructed. For a basic training hakama, it's fantastic, especially for the price!!Sizing chart was accurate: 5'8" 145lb female and the medium (170) falls right at the ankle bone when tied at the waist.

The fabric this item is made from is very thin. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this Hakama few weeks ago. The first one I ordered was too big, the second one I realized I got the wrong color all along. No problems returning. The hakama itself is great. Nice material - even my Sensei complimented it. I wish they made a Kendo top in this material as well it's so nice. Highly recommended.
