After enough time in the NICU, I started discussing my registry items with the nurses. They all said a resounding NO to this or any other hammock like design for safe sleep. There is not enough support on the neck and thus the child's chin will go down and impact breathing.

Poor quality materials over stretches baby didn't like it had to return.

My newborn son kept getting really cold in it, even if he was swaddled and in a nightgown (it was winter). Works great as a cat hammock though...
