Great product that is very customizable
I purchased this charging dock as I have both an iPad 1 and iPhone 4 that I use very often. As a result of the frequent use, by the end of the day, both devices usually don't have a ton of battery life left. For that reason, I needed something that would allow me to charge both simultaneously (without taking up the USB ports on my Macbook). After 2 weeks of having this device, I can honestly say that everything has worked incredibly well! The charging dock came with several swappable parts, so that you can have any combination of iPhones, iPods or iPads charging. It has two tiny LEDs (one for each device) on the front that light when a device is charging (orange) or fully charged (green). The lights are very small and pretty dim, so they won't light up a room at night. The one thing that is a little strange is that as a device reaches the point where it is fully charged, the LED sometimes switches back and forth between green and orange. Not really annoying or anything, just something to think about. The only thing that I can think of that would make this device even better would be a USB port or two on the side. If, however, you are just looking for something to charge two iDevices, this is definitely the dock to go with!Couple things to note:-You can not charge more than one iPad at the same time. The combinations are as follows: iPad + iPhone/iPod or iPhone/iPod + iPhone/iPod-There is no audio out, so you cannot connect the dock itself to speakers (but iPads and iPhones have the headphone jack on the top, so you could plug your speakers into the headphone jack on the iDevice).-There is no usb out, so you cannot connect the dock to your computer to sync your iDevice(s) with iTunes

Current Status of the Charger
When I received this, I was ready to return it immediately because it was not charging. I was using it for my ipad2 and ipod touch and neither was charging-in fact losing charge. This is when the story goes funny. I initially placed the ipod in the front charger and could see that it was charging; my ipad was already at 100% so I thought the fact that it was not charging was ok. I then put the charging clip that comes with this in the front ipod touch slot-and guess what, it stopped charging. I removed it and now it is charging pretty fast.Regarding the ipad2, it has the 30pin and it has too be set gently but once in, it charges and is sturdy. Now I can understand why Apple does not use them anymore. In fact, I find the entire base pretty solid and unobtrusive-I like the minimalist quality. Now I understand that a number of reviewers are upset that it won't fit with a back cover. I don't have one on my ipad2, used to have one, but found it of limited value. I do have a magnetic cover, but only put it on when traveling-not at home while in the dock.Going forward, my concern will be if this will last as a charger. I have had a few lemons-not from this company, but from others that offer these type of charges. I will update in 30 and 60 days.

I got an iPad charger for $2.98(well sort of)
I bought this to charge my iPad & iPod and it cost me a whopping $2.98+$4.98 shipping. It arrived within 3 days(kudos usps)and came nicely packaged. I set it up(plugged it in) and connected my iPod to the front charger and bingo, it immediately started charging! I connected my iPad to the back charger and ......nothing. I scratched my head. I fiddled with it for a moment, and then another moment and nothing. I tried the front charger with the iPad and.......nothing. I scratched my head again. I plugged my iPod into the back charger and Bingo, charging immediately! I unplugged the charger(s) and disassembled the contraption which involved removing the removable plastic part that makes up the iPad stand +the back charger receptacle and finding that i am:a. Not an Engineer& immediately I thought:b. It could possibly be my iPadI examined my iPad for a moment and then viciously threw it onto a pile of sofa pillows. I retrieved said iPad and after plugging the charger(s) back in I plugged in my iPad. Again, nothing! At this point i plugged my iPod back into the front charger and again it charged immediately. I then plugged my iPhone 4 into the back charger and BINGO, immediately started charging! So for $2.98 It makes a great charger for iPods and iPhones but not so much for the iPad.Synopsis:I tried to charge my iPad and I had a Bad Time!Recommendation: It makes a Great charger for ipods and iphones! Fast Shipping!

Works great
I bought this for my husband for his birthday. I was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews, but I bought it anyway and hoped for the best. He has the "New iPad" and an iPhone 4S, and it was definitely a pain to charge them on the night stand. He originally wanted an alarm clock with the port on top to charge his iPhone, but me being the one who thinks a little more ahead, when I found this, I was intrigued at the idea and felt he would get more long term use out of this. He was really surprised when he opened it because he had not heard of this and I warned him that, per other reviews, he must remove the cases before using. He has a Mophie for his iPhone and a leather case for the iPad. He immediately goes "ok, no big deal" and ever since, he's loved it. We were worried that it might be top-heavy and easily fall with the iPad on it, and even did some test runs because the drawer on his night stand really rattles the whole stand when it opens or closes, but the unit only wiggled a little when we opened or closed the drawer with one or both devices on it - even with more force than necessary.Bottom line: a great purchase. Husband is really loving it and glad I got him this instead of the alarm clock. Easy to set up, easy to use. For some people its a negative to remove the case as some cases are more difficult to remove than others, but for us it has been no problem.
