Q: are these tie laces or stretch?

They are tie up laces. But you could put a set of stretch laces in them easily

Q: How is the grap compared to shoes with spikes?

Not as good as a shoe with spikes BUT I have found them to have very good traction in all but the wettest, muddiest conditions. And comfortable. Also easier for walking than a shoe with spikes. I have both with spikes and the FJ Fuel - the spike-less is my most comfortable golf shoe.
