Innovate Motorsports3736 Stainless Steel Exhaust Bung and Plug Kit

I had it welded into my 304 ss exhaust for my subaru and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I am using it with a MTX-L wbo2.4/5 instead of 5/5 because the plug does not come with a washer/gasket of any sort. All of the o2 sensors that I have ever seen have some kind of a reusable washer gasket that comes with the o2 sensor. I would think that the gasket would allow for a better seal and less likely hood of the plug to come undone. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm not using it right now, so it doesn't matter to me.Tip: My wbo2's instructions say that you should not install the sensor below 3 or 9 o'clock on the pipe as condensation can damage the sensor.

Have purchased 3 of these now - and none have matched the picture advertisement. I chose these to weld into stainless motorcycle headers and liked the clean look of the round socket head plug. The ports are only used for tuning, and the bike sports the plugs most of the time. UNFORTUNATELY all three have arrived with unsightly hex head plugs instead of the socket head plug pictured. Worse yet, in use the "stainless steel" plugs rusted immediately, and the machine work on same is of poor quality. The bung itself is fine, welded easily, and has been adequately corrosion resistant.

Buy them

Not as pictured. Plug is a stainless bolt with hex head. Still functional but not as nice as the Alan head plug pictured. Also, the bung does not have a pilot skirt on the bottom as some others do, which would make it easier to center and weld to the drilled hole in the exhaust pipe.

I I purchase this thinking I was going to need it to go with my wide-band, unfortunately I did not so it's sitting in the garage I'm pretty sure I'll find something to use it for lol. Came a couple of days ahead of schedule I can't complain.

The image shows the hex key needed for this bung and plug, but it was definitely not the case. That being said, it was still useful in plugging up the bung I had open on my downpipe so it served its purpose. I didn't use the bung, but I'm sure it's a fine piece to use.

What can I say, I needed a bunghole. It looks well made and I feel confident it will work as intended when I get it installed.

The bung works just fine, seems to be decent quality. I don't mind that the plug is not as pictured as the hex head plug that is included is easier to remove or install in tight spots. One tip is to hang onto an old O2 sensor so you can use it hold and position the bung while welding.

Not useful with the Innovate Motorsports 3891 kit but they are stainless and are not hex like in the picture. If you are using another type of O2 sensor that are short then these bungs are worth it for your stainless steel exhaust, standard length though will not work.

Not as indicated in the picture, the bolt is a regular hex head that's the size of the bung, obviously for sealing purposes.Noit a deal breaker for me, but worth mentioning, actually I would prefer the hex head as it would be easier to get a socket on it.

Well machined, definitely stainless steel , great quality.
