Seattle Sports Vinyl Coated Mesh Deck Bag for SUPs and Kayaks, Black

We attached this great little deck bag to our Advanced Elements Airframe Convertible Elite inflatable kayak. The wife and I take our 8 month old out on the kayak with us and it hold everything we need to support keeping the baby fed and content with enough room left over for our valuables and a few snacks. It is mesh but it’s a rubberized mesh, kind of like a beach/patio chair material but sturdier. Great for calm waters or snorkel gear.

Recently went on a 3 day pack-in/pack-out river trip. Needless to say, every square inch of storage in our boats was crucial. This pack did not disappoint. I kept all my essentials in a dry bag and rolled it up inside this deck bag for quick access. (This bag is mesh so if not using a dry bag, know that you need to protect your non-waterproof valuables) Also sunblock and water bottle. Very happy with this purchase, and even great for more leisurely paddles for the same purpose. Hoping durability isn't an issue because after a few outings I'm very pleased and would rec this to anyone.

It’s a great quality material. I’m glad I purchased and it’s getting used frequently. The zippers are great and the tabs at the corners worked well with the suction cups I purchased to attach to my SUP. Plenty of room to fit my dry pack on the inside and several waters

Great bag for snacks and sunscreen. It snapped right onto our kayak. It has a “phone” pocket, but it’s too short for my iPhone.

Connects easily to deck cords. Not made to be waterproof but a small drysack can be slipped inside to keep things dry. Love this thing!

Nice Deck Bag... great for short trips where you don't need to carry a lot of gear.. keeps all your stuff right there in front of you...FYI it's mesh so it's not water proof but it also doesn't retain water and it's very light so you don't have to take it on and off all the time.. don't have to clean it or drain it... pretty low maintenance

This probably works better on a SUP than on a kayak (at least, my kayak). I mounted it on the front deck and it's just a little bit too far from my seat to reach anything that's at the back of the bag. It would have been awesome if this had had a dry compartment of some kind, but it does not. Nonetheless, it easily holds my dry box, and I like the fact that I can just leave certain items (sunscreen, bug repellent, first-aid kit) in the bag so they are always at the ready. As far as water resistance goes, it's a mesh bag. It's vinyl-coated mesh, but it's still mesh! I would not put anything in it that I really needed to keep dry without putting it inside a dry bag first. It's still very handy to have.

I've only used this twice, so durability is yet to be qualified, but so far I'm very happy with this mesh deck bag. The material is tough and seems like it will not fail. The seams are strong, and a little fire treatment from a lighter to some frayed threads cleaned it up well. The zipper is large, metal, and smooth. The clips on the back rotate 360 degrees to allow better clip in arrangement. Inside there is one small mesh pocket with a lanyard attached that has a clip to attach to key rings or in my case a tiny pocket knife. I use this to SUP on the ocean in rough water and store items that are ok to get wet. This offers zero water stopping protection to be clear.

Son unas mochilas sorprendentes! yo la estoy usando (un par de ellas) en un Kayak Riot 16.5 Tandem, y van de maravilla! se fijan sin problemas, no tuve que hacer ninguna modificación para fijarlas en la zona bungee que tiene el Kayak y las he probado en otro par de kayaks y van de maravilla. Tienen reflejante que aporta buen apoyo de visibilidad caída la noche, con su "porosidad" deja escapar todas las olas o splash de agua que caigan en ella, la apertura es muy cómoda. Lo único que le podría pedir al modelo, es una estructura rígida al interior, pero es por pedir algo, la verdad no es necesario y si lo es, se resuelve con un mantel de mesa (rígido) recortado o una tabla plástica de cortar (de cocina). Pero sin duda excelente adquisición!

Fits all you need for a day trip paddle and is made well. But is not water proof, just don’t flip over,problem solved. :)
