DIY Hair cutting tool
I cut my own hair with a Flowbee. Obviously I am not a slave to stylistic excess...Pros: High quality and stiff enough to hold a line and its position on your head. The band seems like it will last awhile. Takes the guess work, or the need for extras help just to do the back. Helps keep hair looking nice between major cuts.Cons: Takes a little practice to get it lined up especially if your head/ears is not perfectly symmetrical.Hint: Wet your hair so it lays flat. If some pulls back after cutting it will give a nice layered look along with the perfect straight line. May be useful for Women's Bob style hair cuts but they would have to judge that.

A Hands-Free Solution for Precise Self-Haircutting
I recently made a purchase of the EdgUp 2.0 Neckline Shaving Template and Hair Cutting Guide and I am generally content with the product. Below is a detailed three-star review of my experience:Benefits:The flexible and durable silicone stencil provides ease of use and longevity. The hands-free design is advantageous for obtaining a precise and uniform cut without necessitating the use of a mirror or the assistance of another person. The guide is versatile and can be utilized for both hair cutting and shaving, making it a valuable tool for self-haircutting.Drawbacks:The stencil can be slightly challenging to position correctly, particularly for those unaccustomed to using such tools. The guide is tailored to a specific neckline shape, so if your natural neckline does not align with the stencil, it may not be as practical.Although the silicone is durable, it can be somewhat troublesome to thoroughly clean after use.Overall, I believe the EdgUp 2.0 Neckline Shaving Template and Hair Cutting Guide is a decent option for self-haircutting. While it is not flawless, it is beneficial for achieving a straight and uniform cut, and its durability allows for multiple uses. If you are interested in a hands-free cutting and shaving tool, this product is definitely worth considering.here are some tips and tricks for using a neckline shaving template and hair cutting guide:Choose the right template: Neckline shaving templates come in different shapes and sizes, so choose one that suits your neck shape and the style you want to achieve.Prep your skin: Before using a neckline shaving template, make sure your skin is clean and dry. If you have sensitive skin, apply some shaving cream or gel to lubricate the area.Position the template: Place the template on the back of your neck and adjust it until it's in the right position. Make sure it's level and centered.Use a sharp razor: Always use a sharp razor when shaving your neckline. Dull razors can cause irritation and razor burn.Take your time: Shaving around a template can be tricky, so take your time and make sure you're being precise. Use short strokes and avoid applying too much pressure.Clean up stray hairs: After removing the template, check for any stray hairs and clean them up with a razor or trimmer.Use a hair cutting guide: Hair cutting guides can help you achieve a consistent length when cutting your hair. Choose one that matches the length you want and use it as a reference when cutting.Start with a longer guard: If you're not sure what length to start with, it's better to start with a longer guard and work your way down. You can always go shorter, but you can't go longer.Comb your hair: Before using a hair cutting guide, make sure your hair is combed straight and in the direction you want to cut it.Cut in sections: When using a hair cutting guide, it's easier to cut your hair in sections. Start with the sides, then move to the back, and finish with the top.

Pleasantly surprised
For years I had to ask a family member to trim and touch up the nape of my neck because it grows in splotchy and very quickly after a haircut. I've tried mastering reverse motions looking in mirrors but I just don't have what it takes to mentally comprehend. If that sounds like you too, then this product is for you! Perhaps a little pricey for what it is and you could likely get the same result by using a headband, but it works as intended and I'm happy I bought it!

Savings! Savings! Savings!
I've been cutting my own hair with clippers for more than a decade. I got tired of paying someone $20+ for a haircut that would take them three to four minutes to complete. The only problem I had was doing my own neckline. I got pretty good but I'd still have a jagged edge every once in a while. I couldn't see it so I didn't particularly care much. But with this genius product, no more jagged edges, perfectly straight line every time.

A reasonable solution
The device is able to do the job. The elastic component of the device is a little thin, but easy enough to replace. The poly guard material does not optimally stay in place on the head.Comparing it to the Nekmate device (also on Amazon) the Nekmate stays in place better, but the rubber strap on the Nekmate broke after 2 1/2 years. The Nekmate strap can also be easily replaced with a cloth elastic band (available by the roll on Amazon - recommend the 3/4”).
